¹Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2 Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
4 My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
7 Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
9 Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
11 Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
13 But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
15 Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Update on my mom: she is continuing to do extremely well. Her pain is still only a two with only ibuprofen. She has a follow up appointment with the surgeon Tuesday and then they’ll let them know when they can return home. Thanks so much for the prayers.
Another prayer request: I’d appreciate prayers for safe travels for my high school piano student and her mom and the others from the girl’s high school, who are leaving tomorrow on a 10-day trip to Europe. Thanks.
And prayers for my eyes and my mind that I will be able to focus both as I do something I have not done for a long time. Drive for more than twenty minutes at a stretch.
I think son is in flight now. Please pray for safety in getting back to his campus. Thank you.
Also, I just got word that my blog post for Southern Writers Magazine (online Suite T blog) will be up on Monday. I have things to do between now and then. I am always slow in doing things that are new to me. Pray for God’s help. Thank you!
Okay, we are back. Had a lovely visit with my dad and stepmom. They are doing well though depression is always near. My brother is out of state for a bit so the concerns of something breaking and needing help are near. I assured them that we could be up in two hours if they needed anything and seventeen year old is quite capable. They, of course, find it difficult to ask for help. I reminded them that we built this place with them in mind and their rooms are waiting if they ever want to move in. Usually husband is my driver but it was time. Thanks for praying.
Son finally made it home to his campus. Thanks for your prayers. He went to Victoria, BC😊 I am thankful he was able to have a week in s cooler location.
Old health issues have resurfaced with 6th Arrow, and she is in a lot of pain, with not much that can be done at the moment. Prayers that relief will come quickly. Thanks.
Something feels “off” with me lately, & I’m feeling rather dizzy today. Please pray whatever it is will go away, or the cause will become evident. Thank you.
Also, please pray for my atheist friend Anne, for the Holy Spirit to work in her heart & save her. Her hostility to Christianity is showing itself more & more, to the point of her seeming quite irrational about it. I think her late mother may have been a believer (I’m not sure). She seems to have a lot of bitterness due to the behavior of some Christians she grew up with (or what she perceived to be their behavior). Thank you.

Since this is the prayer thread, maybe we can pray that I do get it done. 🙂
