Praise report: since the surgery, my mom’s pain has only been a two, with just some tenderness at the incision site. She isn’t even needing pain meds! Before the surgery, her pain was so bad she was vomiting frequently– so this is nothing short of a miracle! Thanks to all who prayed for her!!!
Two prayer requests from here. First, for Art and me as we go forward toward his next procedure. Secondly, for safe travels for son when he returns to his campus from a week at another campus for a study program exchange. Thank you all for your prayers.
Prayer for wisdom on dealing with the fourteen year old boy. I see he has been stealing again, and I found pills in his closet, which isn’t really his. It is one of the grown daughter’s and we keep it sealed with a couple of boards screwed in. He steals screwdrivers and now we know why. He has been going out to the pantry (off limits to children) and taking various snack items and storing them in there. And books. And the stolen ipod that disappeared out of another child’s room months ago. And so. What to do. He is off to football camp for there days so I have time to think.
I’m asking for prayer for wisdom. My dear friend has a terrible problem in her marriage. It has been ongoing, but it seems to be worsening. If I’ve spoken strongly about the evils of sexual addictions here, it is because I’ve seen the destruction first hand. I can tell she is near the breaking point. Pray for her, as she has no wish to leave the marriage. She loves her husband, but the problem is not being dealt with as it needs to be. Also, she has very few support systems, due to other familial issues. We try to do what we can, but we live so far away.
