Prayer Requests 6-6-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 51:1-12

¹Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

  1. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Monday mornings and the promise of a fresh new week in which to get things done to bring glory to You. Please energize all readers of this blog to be able to accomplish more than they thought possible because You are the force motivating, guiding, encouraging, and overcoming all obstacles that hinder.

I lift up Kim and BG that they will get more done this week in relationship building and sealing than they have done in years. May they fully recognize You as being the firm foundation upon which they must build lasting and fruitful relationships. May they discard any previous false foundations.

Thank You for the new worship leader at church. Since he is so young, I pray he will in no way feel intimidated by those with more experience in our church body. Please be his strength for any weakness he may feel. Thank You that he is willing to take on the challenges of our urban church assuming he accepts the church’s offer.

Lord, so many requests have been made over the weekend here for prayers. I know You are working on each and I thank You for all Your efforts that we will never know the extent of.

Please protect the USA from acts of terrorism and plots to hurt Christians, Jews, and others of various faiths who are targeted only because of their true beliefs. I pray for the needs of refugees to be met. Bless those who help to meet their needs in loving and kind ways. Please reconcile language barriers through Godly expressions of love from heart to heart.

Thank You for those here engaged in missionary work either in the states or abroad. Please give divine appointments that lead to salvations. Please, may the young offspring of blog families who are not believers have their divine appointments with people of Christian influence who have just the right approach to lead them to relationship with Christ.

I pray in the blessed name of Jesus, Amen.

  2. Prayer for ten year old. He has set off on a great adventure. He is riding his bike to town. He has been asking to do this for years, now that he is ten, he is off. It is about five miles. Today is the start of VBS and he has talked of riding his bike there since last VBS. Prayer for safety and wisdom on his part. Thanks.

  3. He made it! I had him ride on the highway since teens drive like maniacs on the gravel. Not like your highways…. Anyway, when we got there, he was standing there with a huge grin and a sore ….. I will give him a ride home. Five miles is enough for him in this heat.

  4. A praise:

I started out this day feeling quite down & tired, moved to tears easily. I plugged through my morning chores, & did not neglect my prayer time. By then I was feeling a bit better, but still somewhat down.

Then I made myself do the housekeeping duty that I really didn’t want to do, & along the way, I started singing a couple old praise songs that we used to sing in our former church. Giving praise to God, remembering His power & faithfulness, lifted me right up out of what remained of my down mood. Thanking & praising Him for that, & for a more peaceful spirit within me!

  5. One praise chorus was. . .

    “Not by might,
    Nor by power,
But by My Spirit, saith the Lord of Hosts.

    [repeat]

    “This mountain shall be removed,
    This mountain shall be removed,
    This mountain shall be removed,
By My Spirit saith the Lord!”

    The other was. . .

“Nothing is too difficult for thee!
Nothing is too difficult for thee!
    Great & might God,
Great in counsel & mighty in deed.
    Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing
Nothing is too difficult for thee!”

As you can see, both are from scripture.

  6. Thank you for your prayers this past week. The visit with the daughter and grandson were a great success. We expect both to come back soon.

My former BIL died in his sleep this past week. He was found by my FIL, who lives with him. The surviving brother is devastated. My FIL looks like the life has just been sucked right out of him. Services are tomorrow, with burial in my little town. They could sure use your prayers.

A young couple named Shandy and Carl just lost their 5 month old son to SIDS.

And a praise: 2 years ago a young mother was killed in a car accident and left behind a 7 month old little girl and husband. They were such a cute little couple, having found one another after the husband came to the Lord. It was so sad to see the heart ache of one trying so hard to follow after Him. Well, this young man remarried and his new wife was pregnant, almost 7 months. She had to have an emergency C-section, delivering a 2lb 2oz baby. Another trial! Saturday, we had what we call “Pond Day” which is free fishing, and a community BBQ, with music etc. This little family was there. The baby is now 5lb 12oz and doing great. The older girl looks so good, having filled out with a mama to care for her. It was just so sweet to hear her say “Mommy, look at me”. It looks like God is giving back all that was taken away.
