Prayer Requests 5-31-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 45

¹My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

Kings’ daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house;

11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

13 The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.

16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

  1. Thanks for praying for my brother. He was well received by my mom. My dad was cold and distant…which I find strange since he gave me a book about The Prodigal by Henri Nouwen some years ago. …it seems his heart is quite hardened towards him. Please continue to pray for this situation.

  4. Jehovah Rophe, our healing God, please give Your power to overcome illness into the nephew’s situation mentioned by Annms. All good gifts are from You. I ask that You would supply the good gift of healing to him so his cough does not linger and cause further distress. Thank You for Your blessings received whether from medical intervention or supernaturally. In Jesus Amen

  5. Things are still tense and unsettled on the home front. I am hoping that 10 1/2 days away will provide time, distance, clarity, and healing. I have bent but haven’t caved. Nothing has been well received. Yesterday was especially hard.

  7. And Carol, who was in the hospital earlier this week for MRSA & low potassium, will probably be going back today, sounds like it’s a return of the cellulitis in her legs (which is related, I believe, to the MRSA which flares now and again).

  8. Sounds like the nurse at Carol’s facility is checking her, she may not have to go to the hospital — their regular doctor comes by the visit the residents tomorrow.

  9. Ann, there is a virus going around which produces a really nasty cough, but people are also experiencing vomiting and diarrhea with it. I should know, I’ve got it. Both my small nephews threw up with it as well as hacked and coughed. My theory is that it is a virus capable of infecting the mucous membranes of not only the respiratory tract, the way influenza does, but also the digestive tract, the way the norovirus does, thus producing in both tracts their respective symptoms of infection. The symptoms are bothersome, but all the children seem to recover without any lasting ill effects.

  10. Here we go again. the Dr. found something on Hubby’s prostate. He is having a biopsy in a few weeks. If it turns out to be cancer, the Dr. has said he wouldn’t be able to operate until Hubby has lost about 50 lbs. Needless to say, he is now on a very strict diet. I don’t know what else to say.

Things are tense around here tonight. I am going to sleep. I don’t think he will do anything. BG and I are leaving tomorrow at 4. I have taken care of as much as I can. Amos is going to spend the week with G. Just keep us covered in prayer.
