Prayer Requests 5-26-16

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 41

¹Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

10 But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

  1. Prayers for baby Anya, the granddaughter of my Physics lab partner from the dark ages of high school. Barely a year old, suffering from liver cancer (how? why? Questions for God . . . ), she will get a liver transplant at Stanford in about an hour (7am CA time). Thanks.

  2. OK. So I have told you the other day about getting the letters of affirmation for BG and over on the Daily Thread I told you about the jewelry or token for the covenant of purity. The third thing on the list is to pray.
“This is the most important investment you can make in preparation for your time at JHRanch. Pray specifically that your relationship with you child would be strengthened. In addition pray that the key areas you will discuss become major transition points in your child’s life. As your program approaches, encourage your family to support you in your prayer, especially while you are at the Ranch.”

At least I have done that right. You are my blog family and I have asked and will continue to ask you to pray for us. EVERY single person I have spoken with, who has been tells me this is a life changing event. I have pinned a lot of hope on it. I am cautious. I don’t want to build it up too much and it be a disappointment for us…but I sure am hoping we have a similar experience as others have had. Our dates are June 3-10.

  3. Michelle,
I want to thank you for what you wrote on the Prayer Thread yesterday. I have read it over and over. I am going back to copy and paste it somewhere handy. I have and am continuing to pray. It is also why I have told any and every one who knows what is going on that I am delaying any decision, action, thoughts until the middle of the month. I continue to be overwhelmed. My thoughts are not settled. Right now I couldn’t make a decision if pressed.
