Prayer Requests 4-11-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 150

¹Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

  1. mentioned being out of sorts. Well part of it is grieving with my little girl who has lost her mom. I talked to her today. I could see she was sad. We found that she has not seen her dad this whole week and her auntie forced her to come to school. I had my aide talk to her too and then we waited to speak to the auntie. we both felt that Cassandra needs some time to grieve so Wendy asked the auntie to let her stay home if she asked to. Please pray.

  2. Heavenly Father, I lift up Cassandra to You. Help her to grasp the depth of Your love for her. Help her to lean into Your solid Being when her world seems so shakey. Please, Abba, comfort her and make her aware in a special way that You are always with her in life. I pray she can process her grief and not get stuck on this one part of her life. Please, even though young, I pray she with start to learn about how You gift us with joy even in the midst of sorrow if only we will reach out for Your giving hand. Thank You for putting loving people like Jo in her life.

Lord, I lift up Michelle’s family as they go through the pain of loss of the expected new family member. I do thank You that at least the children who witnessed this great loss will always understand that life begins at conception. Perhaps this tragic event may have saved a future life we don’t know about. Thank You that the family is in Christ and will at a later time see this young womb baby fully mature, at the height of life in the resurrected perfect condition You intended at conception. I praise You for the hope we as believers have in heaven and the trust we can have in You alone to use whatever happens to turn it to good in some manner. Thank You for healing up the pain of the now empty womb. I can not imagine that kind of pain, but I know You know about it. Jesus is telling You all about it as He Intercesses with You on the mother’s behalf, and the Holy Spirit is groaning for those without proper words to say. Hear our prayers, in whatever form, Lord, and grant Your precious peace to all involved. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. I understand, Kathaleena, & am praying.

My prayer request is for favor for Emily.

Remember last Monday Emily had an interview at the local nursing home, it went very well, & at least one of her references gave her a glowing recommendation? And remember how I’ve been hoping & praying she would get something at least somewhat close to home?

Well, the day after the interview, the HR lady called Emily & left a voice mail saying she would like Emily to start the paperwork & get fingerprinted. Great news, right?

Unfortunately, Emily’s stupid phone did not alert her to receiving a voice message until Friday after business hours. 😦

Emily did call & leave a voice mail. She will follow up today. Please pray the lady hasn’t written her off, & that Emily will have favor in her eyes.

Of course, I realize this may not actually be the job God wants for Emily, so above all. . .God’s will be done.

  4. Cell phones do that sort of thing. I can be sitting right next to mine, Not hear it ring or light up until it notifies me (if it does) there is a voice mail message. Always good to check daily just in case….which reminds me.

  5. The reason Elvera doesn’t answer her phone is because she keeps it in a sound proof compartment in her purse.
I tell her. But she thinks that compartment is the place it’s supposed to be.

  6. Three prayer requests for friends:

My friend Sue has three grown daughters (in their 30s & early 40s). Due to a couple different situations, the older & the younger are estranged from the middle daughter. This is a burden on Sue’s heart, as you can imagine (& she doesn’t get to see those grandchildren, from her middle daughter, as often as the others). (BTW, Sue is the mother of Jenn, the lady with the severe health problems, who is the oldest daughter.)

My friend N asks prayer for her niece, A, a teenager “in a dark place”. (Also for A’s parents.)

The friends of Emily’s who have been attending our church are looking at other churches. 😦 I’m not sure what they are looking for, but I wonder if they are tempted to church hop. They’ve been coming to our church for only a couple years, & I don’t know where they went before that. Please pray they will follow God’s direction, not their own inclinations, whether that is to stay or to go.

    Thank you.

  7. Stacey (Emily’s friend – & mine, too, a bit) & I have been exchanging some private messages on Facebook about the church situation. She seems open to, & appreciative of, counsel from me. Please pray for wisdom & insight for both of us. (And for her husband, too, who seems to be the prime mover in deciding to look for another church.)
