¹Unto thee I lift up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
A couple of prayer requests for the upcoming, very busy week I’ll be having (reminders, mostly, as I brought these up previously):
1. Leading a Bible study Friday on 2 Peter.
2. Giving (or maybe not) a piano lesson Wednesday to the child with the family about whom I have concerns. I struggled with more anxiety about that last night when i should have been sleeping. (Maybe I’ll be so tired tonight that I’ll get to bed earlier and not lose that hour of sleep with the time change.)
Pray for our nation, especially in light of the violence that now seems to be erupting (Trump’s event last night — now someone apparently threw something at him during an event today as well). This could get scary/serious very quickly.
Carol was heading in to the hospital again this afternoon, lots of pain that I think is probably connected to the hernia. Haven’t heard from her since we talked around 2 and was waiting for the ambulance.
—Tomorrow, Emily will be taking the NCLEX, the exam for her LPN license. With the time change this weekend, she is a little worried that her brain may not be working as well as it should. The fact that she did so well on the exit exam (which is supposedly tougher than the NCLEX) tells me that she will do well on this, but she is very nervous.
—Lee & I have a situation of which Lee said one time, “It has to be a ‘God thing’ ” & another time, “Only God can pull it off.”
Thank you for your prayers. And thank You to God for listening.
Also, Lee has been feeling some stress today, along with his heart racing at times. He believes the heart racing is due to the stress, but still it concerns me.
With a nod of thanks to Donna who has been helping, I’m thankful to report my daughter found a place to live 12 miles from work with an old friend of mine from junior high.
The options that turned up this afternoon, almost at the last moment, have left my daughter crying on the phone in gratitude to God.
Please pray for me as I preach tomorrow on the topic of Responsibility. Thanks.

It could also get Trump elected.
Think of the effect on his supporters!

Thanks for your prayers – the message flowed very smoothly, and people were convicted and touched by the HS.

I’m a little worried about Carol, I talked to her early this morning when I got up — she was still in pain and didn’t know anything yet.
But I’ve tried calling her twice this afternoon since then and her phone’s off — maybe she’s sleeping. I’ll try her again tonight.
Glad something worked out, Michelle!
