I really need patience and strength to get through this day. I can’t do anything on my own time frame because that won’t work for other people. I wanted to go vote at 9 NOPE can’t do that it isn’t convenient for someone else. While my reaction to this is wayyyyy out of proportion to the situation it is just one more in a long pattern I really am having anger issues like I haven’t had in many many years and it is pushing me to the brink of tears and causing me to clinch my jaw which was finally feeeling better.
Ugh…Kim I am feeling overwhelming anger as well…you may have read my post the other day when I wanted to “slug” an arrogant customer…. :-(. My husband suggests I develop a thicker skin to this type of person….all the while I know deep within me I need the mind of Christ towards others….sometimes I really feel like I’m losing it…..
Prayer for eighteen year old daughter. I contacted her dear dear friend on FB. Daughter had been basically living at this girl’s house as she adored the girl and her parents….and her brother….Anyway, since the boy showed up, friend has not seen daughter at all and is very concerned for her. She says she last saw her at school and she appeared very out of character. She did not even know daughter was thinking of dropping out, let alone that she did. I am also wondering if the concussion she had last year might have anything to do with this very odd behavior. Or is it just teen stuff. Thanks.
NancyJill, I used to take perverse pleasure in dealing with rude customers. I still laugh about the man who cussed me for being everything but a child of God, and when I promised to get him some help told me to have them hurry up and call him back soon he had to get to church it was Wednesday night. 😉
A very nice photo. I’m curious, though–how did you get both the starlings and the moon in focus? I have a Canon PowerShot (different model from yours, but I believe that is what you have) and I can get a shot that has the details of the moon but doesn’t have stuff in close range in focus, or I can get a shot that has stuff in close range in focus, but the moon is just a ball with no detail. I can’t get both at the same time, and I’ve tried several different ways. Or was the moon that big and bright and you didn’t zoom in at all and thus it’s at “infinite” focus?
You are greater and mightier than anything that is sent our way and meant to land a crushing blow. You are able to defend us supernaturally against those things that offend our sense of justice and our reasonable thoughts as to how things are suppose to work in the world. Sometimes we have a sense of the undertow that we can’t see below the surface is trying to knock us down and keep us down. Your word says knocked down but not destroyed. You are the God who sets people upright again no matter how bad the tumbles and scrapes as long as they love You and put trust in You. Thank You for being such a great God as only You could be.
I lift up to You the ones who have expressed need for prayer. You know the troubles whether external or internal and what it will take to help in these trouble times. Please help Mumsee’s eighteen year old who seems to be caught up in bad decision making. Again, You know the whole situation. Please ease anxiety over the unknown. Please help those who are having the gnawing of burning anger that happens when people feel out of control. Please restore a sense of Your peace unlike the world gives. It is that peace that passes understanding and also surpasses pressure cooker situations. Press Your calm into these unsettling situations for my Sisters in Christ here.
I lift up my brother with his next opportunity for employment. I pray he will be given good references from former employers and that he will be determined to have the right background for the opening if it is right for him by Your standards. Please help him to not be anxious as his unemployment is ending.
Thank you for the positive response from the editor about my Bosley story. Thank You for the gift of the tie in with the Good Samaritan story.
Thank You that we can vote here. Help us not to be wasteful with that privilege.
Please pray for our dear little Forrest. Prayers for physical healing & strengthening are appreciated, but what I have in mind is for healing in his (metaphorical) heart.
Prayer for eighteen year old son. Just found another cigarette in his room. I don’t know if it is an old one that he missed or a new one. I don’t care. So, wisdom for him to find a place to live. Perhaps he will find motivation to get a job. Perhaps he will just get deeper into the drug dealing aspect. Thanks.
