  1. You guys were rally hard on Trump last night.
Karen said, “If his ideas were really challenged, people would see through them”.

Problem is. He doesn’t have any ideas, except make Mexico build a wall, and an excise tax on Chinese goods.
And the media won’t point them out.
Like Sanders voters, Trump voters will stick with him.
A Trump supporter called Rush yesterday. He doesn’t care what everyone says, including Trump. Trump id different.
That’s enough. He’ll make America great again.
In spite of everything Congress can do.
    Like Obama did.

  2. I keep waiting to hear the Republican policy proposals in the debates, instead I hear name-calling and “Gotcha” retorts.

Now what was that Eleventh Commandment again?

  3. Megyn Kelly made some good points last night about how all these no-chance, single-digit Republicans — rather than going after the quarterback (Trump) who soon will have a clear break right into the end zone — spend their time and energy attacking the other wounded and limping players who may have at least a little bit better chance than they do of unifying the party under a conservative banner.

They’re to busy infighting that they’ll lose the game if they’re not careful. Typical. And the danger of having an overly-crowded field with too many egos.

And Christie can just go ahead and change parties and become a Democrat as far as I’m concerned. Good riddance to him. He behaved like a jerk. Yeah, I know, we’re all shocked. 🙄

And I’m almost as irked at folks like Bush. Honestly, he ought to know & behave better. He’s got Zero chance at this point and spends his time and money trying to wound fellow candidates on the next ladder rung up? Argh.

  4. What’s wrong with this picture?

    http://www.fox2detroit.com/news/local-news/88543818-story

“An employee at the General Motors Technical Center in Warren was stabbed by someone visiting the plant Wednesday.

The 52-year-old victim was hospitalized and suspect arrested by police – but the valet service supervisor with a valid CPL who pulled his gun to stop the attack, says he was fired.

Didarul Sarder, SP+ Valet Supervisor was heading into work Wednesday morning at the General motors technical center in Warren, when he heard the cry for help.

“The lady kept saying ‘I’m dying, someone help’ and it was just natural reaction,” said Didarul Sarder, SP+ Valet Supervisor. “I just see this lady getting stabbed. I only had like half a second to think and I un-holstered my firearm and pointed it at her to drop the knife.”

The stabbing happened right outside the main entrance of the central office building where the 52-year-old victim works.

Police say the suspect, a 32-year-old woman, came to see the employee. They argued in the lobby, then went outside where the suspect pulled a knife, stabbing her multiple times in the neck, back and abdomen.

Sarder told the woman to freeze until she was arrested by police.”

“The victim, identified as Stephanie Kerr, is in critical condition, and lucky the stabbing didn’t go any further, according to city officials. All of which is why Sarder says he was surprised to be fired on the spot by a GM employee, then escorted off the property.

“He said, ‘You shouldn’t have had a firearm here,'” Sarder said. “‘After this is done he needs to be escorted off the property. He’s not welcome back here.'”

  5. “Electability” issue as outlined on redstate.com (since the question came up yesterday):

who would be the best President

who has the best chance (or any chance) of being the nominee, and

who has the best chance (or any chance) of winning the general election

  6. Bob Buckles: I keep waiting to hear the Republican policy proposals in the debates, instead I hear name-calling and “Gotcha” retorts.

That is a lot of it, partly because the moderators keep asking questions based on otehr candidates. There was one point in the last debate when Cruz gave a detailed list of what he would do on imigration:

CRUZ: So, in terms of a practical solution, I’ve laid out the most detailed plan for solving illegal immigration. It’s 11 pages, single-spaced, chapter and verse. It’s on our website, tedcruz.org.

In short, we’re going to do, we’re going to build a wall. We’re going to triple the border patrol. We’re going to increase — and actually, since Donald enjoyed that, I will simply say, I’ve got somebody in mind to build it.

We’re going to increase four-fold, the fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, so that you have technology monitoring an attempted incursion to direct the boots on the ground where they’re occurring. We’re going to put in place a strong e-verify system in the workplace, so you can’t get a job without proving you are here legally.

We’ll put in place a biometric exit-entry system on visas, because 40 percent of illegal immigration comes not over the border illegally, but people coming on visas and overstaying.

We will end sanctuary cities by cutting off taxpayer dollars to any jurisdiction that defies federal immigration law.

And we will end welfare benefits for those here illegally.

Here is a good summary of the New Hampshire debaate where the above quote came from:

  7. Thanks Peter, I guess I am looking for debate between candidates. Who agrees and who has different ideas. What other ideas are viable. We would hear different Republican ideas. We would come to some things basically being decided. (Most Republicans would agree to a combination of a wall and more Border Patrol. No catch and release. No release on their own recognizance.)

I would like to see few attacks on our own.

  8. I agree Bob. What we have are not debates but candidate forums. A true debate would give each candidate a chance to answer the same questions with each candidate getting a rebuttal. It wouldn’t work with so many candidates like we have now. When it gets down to two or three, then would be a time to do it. But the average American voter has been fed these forums for so long, they would tune out a real debate.

  9. Peter,
How about on line? Can you see Bill Whittle, Andrew Klavan, Scott Ott and Stephen Greene questioning/moderating debates between the remaining candidates? If not PJTV peeps, someone Knowledgable and friendly – Hugh Hewit? Dennis Prager? Heck, even Rushbo. But NOT Glenn Beck or Mark Levine!

  10. Is there ever a time when we’re not racists?

Latest Tweet from MSNBC’s Joan Walsh is wondering why Hillary’s doing so badly among whites after carrying the demographic in “08. She’s decided it’s because white people are racist, and it’s ‘cuz she worked for a black president, so now whites are punishing her. How original….. 🙄

And this is what passes for a journalist nowadays…..
