Prayer Requests 2-6-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 90

¹Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

13 Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

  1. Hubby forgot his limitations and lifted up a couple of heavier bags of water softener salt and loaded them into the trunk of the car after purchase this morning. He’s in a lot of pain now — the loud groans are back with any kind of lower body movement while standing. 😦 Back to sitting in the recliner.

  2. Daughter and son in law said they were interested in adopting the baby, and oh, by the way, they are pregnant again. So, lots of prayers. That the baby would continue to grow and thrive in utero and same with other baby. That the moms would love their children. And that the other mom would make a wise decision. Thanks. We are, of course, open to having little aunt or uncle three months older than grandson. It is already the case with other grandchildren and children. What a mix.

  3. Mumsee, please let us know how your daughter is doing. I think I have told you before that even with going through the infertility I did, I think it would be harder to be able to get pregnant and not be able to STAY pregnant. She pierces my heart.

  4. Heavenly Father,

I remain astounded by the ever mounting prayer needs each day and how You arise to each occasion when we ask rightly, within Your will for help on each person’s unique needs. Thank You that we witness Your heart of love through seeing Your answers worked out. Please help all the husband’s who are overdoers such as 6 arrows’, Mumsee ‘ s and my husband, Art, who each have health reasons to be careful yet forget or push to the limit because they have a macho streak that continually motivates to do more. Please help them despite their forgetfulness or other trait that can cause bodily harm.

I pray for the moms-to-be mentioned by Mumsee and for the babies. Keep all well and healthy and please do not let any substance do harm to that little one. You have ways to filter out or put in a surrounding wall against anything in the world that tries to harm a baby. In the name of Jesus I pray that supernatural protection surround that baby in the womb.

Lord, please comfort those who had recent dears in their families. It seems like a ton of sadness weighting down hearts. Please give comfort and let that heaviness lift.

Tomorrow I have jury duty. I never know what that might involve. I pray for justice in all the cases to be heard and that jurors will be selected for right reasons. I pray that no innocents will be found guilty of crimes they did not commit. Please may our courts and justice system work properly and not make a farce of the laws of our land.

I ask for special birthday blessings to be showered upon Annms and Jo. May they know how much You love and care for them over and above the limitations of our humanly ways of showing love.

I pray for safety in our land as our borders are being weakened when they need to be strengthened. If anyone in high authority is acting against our nation’s well being, I pray You will quickly bring a halt to the ability to do harm.

I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  5. Today, I taught Matthew 8:5-13, About the Centurion with the sick servant. About faith, but an important point I made:
Intercession works. I can only think of three instances of intercession in the NT.
    this, the Centurion
The Canaanite mother whose daughter was healed
The men let the paralytic man through the roof.
    All three were healed.
One, the people came to tell Jesus about Lazarus being sick, didn’t.
    Jesus had other plans.
    There’s a lesson there somewhere. .

  6. There’s a strong possibility that tomorrow may be another snow day for Forrest, & wouldn’t ya know it, Emily is working another full day. Chrissy is going to be dropped off later, so she’ll be here to help if needed. I appreciate any prayers for patience & energy.

  7. Karen, when I taught preschool, I found out it was very important to have a good plan for the hours. Do you try to do that with Forrest? If you could get his teacher’s schedule, you could go by that to help him settle into what he is use to doing.

  8. Hubby is feeling better today, and I’m happy to report he didn’t lift those 40-lb. bags of solar salt out of the car, once home. 😉

    Prayers, Mumsee and Karen.

    Thanks for sharing, Chas.

  9. Janice – We (Chrissy, Forrest, & I) kind of fall into our own routine. And I’m sure we will be outside in the snow for a good part of the day.
