Prayer Requests 1-30-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 83

¹Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.

17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.

  1. Husband is a bit under the weather today. He is sleeping. He has been sleeping all morning. His cough is back after he seemed rid of it with a dose of antibiotics. We could well be looking at pneumonia again. He has cataract surgery this coming week as well. Thanks.

  2. Heavenly Father,

    Thank You for the blessing of warmer weather and lessening heating bills. Thank You for warm houses during snow storms. Please give shelter to those who are less fortunate and are shivering in the cold this very moment.

    The prayer requests have been so varied lately, Abba.
    The needs on earth are ever expanding so I imagine You have ever expanding ears and heart.

    I lift up to You Hudson and Micah in their needs for healing. May the medical procedures produce good results without complications or infection. Please help them to keep good attitudes about doing their part toward recovery (no fussing about taking medicine, etc.) I also pray for Chas’ DIL, Linda, as she recouperates from her surgery. May she receive a good report on Tues.

    I lift up Mumsee and Mike as they consider the new call for help with two more children. Thank You for their willingness to help and make life-changing difference in lives. Help them to choose wisely according to Your will and best plans for all concerned. Please help Ike to overcome his present illness and to better pace himself so his body has a chance to get built up.
    Please give Mumsee a double portion of strength as she has to meet needs of many while helping Mike back to good health.

    I continue to lift up Annms’ family, her parents especially as they continue to deal with her mom’s decline in health. Please lift their spirits and create a humbleness of heart to rely on You and accept that You have them in Your hands and that Jesus Intercessors on their behalf with You. May they have peace from anxiety and not fall into prideful expectations of self being able to do it all.

    Lord, I pray for 6 Arrows and her husband and family. You look down and see the way of suffering they have been walking through for quite awhile. Please help her husband ease back into work tomorrow. May the child who is reluctant to get going on schoolwork have a change of heart. I pray for 6 Arrows to know peace about the student moving on. Help her to, with Your help, give grace and forgiveness to the father who wanted to put his needs above the needs of 6 Arrows and his daughter. If this behavior is a be setting sin in his life, I pray You will work it out of him so he does not go through life hurting those whom are doing good to him.

    Please help AJ and Cheryl in their needs for improving health and release worry, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms.

    Lord, please help Art as he begins the really heavy duty time of early filers seeking quick refunds. Help him to pace himself and never overload. Please keep his strength, stamina, and immune system strong. Help me to be a good helper for him in whatever capacity he needs.

    Thank You for bearing with my long prayers that only partially cover the needs. You are such a greatness beyond comprehension. We could never lean on You too much or weight You down too much with our concerns. We always send them up to You for You are never down.
    Lovingly I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. This from the church we attended in Torino, Italy:

    In a moving email sent to Barnabas Fund on Tuesday (19 January), Barnabas partner Dr Jany Haddad, who is based in the city of Aleppo, Syriaâs second largest city, described how the death toll of the cityâs Christians rises daily â partly as a result of the harsh winter conditions and in part due to continued rocket fire. Still, he praises God that no one was hurt when a church was hit by a rocket on Sunday.

    “On Sunday morning service at Emanuel Armenian Evangelical church, just after the general service there was a youth gathering. It was concluded around 11.45 – 11.50, and the attack was just when the leader of the youth went out of the church. We are very grateful to my Lordâs protection and guidance. Otherwise, the number of deaths and wounded Christians were going to be in tens and hundreds.

    Its pastor S. M. just left Aleppo for Beirut for migration to Canada and the church is left with its leaders. Our dear brother S. T. is pastoring now and preaching. On the same day and one day before, many rockets hit our Christian society and we had seven deaths and 53 injured people. Still as you know, the weather is getting colder due to a windy snow storm. Still no fuel, no heating system, and since more than four months no electricity to cover some heating needs. Gas cylinders are rare and sold at high prices. Daily, there are people admitted to hospitals, private and general, with H1N1 flu and daily we hear about one or two deaths. In spite of the fact that the government has generously provided vaccine to everyone who needs it, the epidemic is still active and spreading out of control. The pollution rate is increasing and there is no control of it either.â

    Barnabas is working steadily through our partner organisations on the ground to provide food, blankets, clothing, medication and fuel for heating.

  4. Emily is finishing up the LPN program, with one more class on Monday night, & then she has the exit exam (which is reputed to be tough) on Wednesday night. She tends to have trouble sleeping, so please pray that she will be able to get the sleep she needs, & that her brain & mind will be working to their full potential as she studies, & then takes the exit exam. Thank you.
