😦 Over a foot of snow in Hendersonville. I don’t know what the official total is.
🙂 It’s supposed to be over for now.
😦 Wind is blowing now, like a blizzard.
🙂 The ski resorts love it.
😦 Not the news we wanted to hear about our daughter’s pregnancy.
🙂 It’s a girl! Of course, a boy would have been nice, too. We already have six boys to two girls, though.
🙂 God is in control and knows what we need and what His plan is. Thanking Him we have a daughter who knows that, loves God and will do what is right. Thanking Him, too, she has a husband who is on the same page!
😦 Finding out our niece has cancer. Hoping they caught it early enough.
🙂 Several friends with cancer have gotten some good test results.
🙂 Fixed. For now. Hoping it holds as the next step would be a new tub (which is complicated as this tub is attached to the vanity which also would have to be demolished which could lead to other demo and replacement needs).
🙂 I can take showers again. Whew.
😦 Couple errands to squeeze in today along with a trip to visit Carol who’s still in a nursing home (but should be getting out early next week). Hoping to have time to get the dogs to the dog park, too, though. I will wear my parka.
😦 This election is crazy. (What’s happened to the GOP/conservatives???)
🙂 This election is crazy. (I’ve always “enjoyed” the spectator sport of national politics; and, so far, with the primary voting not even officially underway yet, it’s hard to beat this one when it comes to drama, angst and surprise.)
🙂 Resting in the knowledge that there’s a grand, divine purpose to it all, though it may be unpleasant for us in the short-term.
😦 My laptop is being weird. It has three “accounts” – mine, Chrissy’s (for when she’s staying overnight), & Lee’s (which he actually never uses – it’s there out of courtesy on my part 🙂 ). Chrissy’s & Lee’s are working well, but mine was exceedingly slow last night, & this morning it seemed my browser was not going to open. When I clicked on the button to get to where I need to click to switch accounts, that took quite a while to come up.
An hour or more later, I went back to mine to see if my browser came up. It had, & everything seems to be working well, at least for now.
Last night, I ran a virus scan, a malware scan, & “cleaned” it with ccleaner (yes, there is a double c there). Glad I can at least use Lee’s account if I have to.
Does anyone know why one account on a laptop would have trouble, but not the others?
🙂 While worshiping God yesterday morning, I listened to a song which reminded me of something wonderful, the most important thing in the world – My name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life!
🙂 Noticed that the expensive pork chops were on sale, but individual packages had not been marked down. Normally, I would just not buy them, but today I asked at the meat counter and the butcher came out and marked them down for me – less than half price! Cheaper than cauliflower (pound for pound) 🙂
🙂 Thankful for a husband and a quad with a blade who can clear our yard of the snow
Perhaps it needs a new name? Of course the recipe does call for potatoes and onions. I have left potatoes out for this time or season.
Beautiful morning here with bits of fog in the valley and layers of clouds on the far hills.

😦 But it’s to late and I’m too tired to make it … Maybe tomorrow 🙂

I have 5 hour Beef stew in the crockpot.
I will eat it all week.
Lots of carrots and celery, but no potatoes or onion.

How can it possibly be beef stew without onions and potatoes?
