An important set of Lee’s keys is missing. Please pray for wisdom on where to look, & if they were lost when he stopped somewhere yesterday, that someone would turn them in.
Hubby injured himself at work yesterday — he thought he pulled a muscle or something — and his boss sent him home, telling him to seek medical care today if there wasn’t improvement.
Hubby’s on the way to the clinic now. He suspects a hernia.
Finally put my foot down about husband getting an eye check-up. I knew it had been way too long, but it was longer than I thought. We did that yesterday. Off to get an ultrasound on his carotid arteries today 😦 I had this done once after an eye check-up, too. Hopefully, he will not have to have anything further done, but better to know.
Pray for Amat. He is the son of one of our employees. I don’t remember which boy it is so I’m fuzzy on his age. He was climbing a baobab tree last week and fell. He is awake but not really present. He in unresponsive, but will eat when fed. He stares blankly but flinches if they jab toward his eyes. He can’t urinate or defecate. Doctors here don’t tell the families anything so all his dad is being told is that these problems aren’t serious. Sorry??! They sound pretty serious to me!
Hubby’s had a big run-around at the clinic — ended up in the emergency room and all sorts of other departments; given phone numbers to call; told by others that he would be contacted instead of him having to call; etc. etc. They don’t have his cell phone number on file, only the home phone.
He called home just now and exclaimed, “I could have bought a gun from Obama in the time it took me to do all that!”
A surgery consult is next; don’t know when that will be.
Turns out that as he took out another set of keys, they had fallen out of his pocket at the car repair place this morning when he took Emily there to pick up her car. Someone found them, & then they looked to see who’s car had been there previously, figured out it was Emily’s, & called Lee. What a relief!
Glad to hear they’re found, Karen. We spend an awful lot of time looking for lost keys around here — someone is usually in too much of a hurry, sets them down on the run without thinking, and then can’t find them when they’re needed. 😉
Hubby is back from the emergency room and all the other places he was this morning, and now is off to work! 😯 Can’t stop that man!! He says it doesn’t hurt any more than any other pain he’s worked through before, and off he goes!
Recovery from surgery isn’t going to be fun. He was the one who cleaned out an under-stairway closet after coming home following his wisdom teeth extraction in the early years of our marriage. He hasn’t changed much in these almost 30 years. 😉
Jody passed peacefully this afternoon. Tatyanna wrote this on her mom’s Caring Bridge site:
My mom has fallen to rest, at 3:15 God took her in his arms! Now she will be watching over us all.. Thank you for all your kind words and prayers! She will be truly missed by tons of people. I love you mom, rest in peace😔💜
You are totally involved in the lives of those who are in need as mentioned above. Nothing and no one escapes Your careful searching out of those in trouble times. Quickly respond to to our expressions of intercession to lessen feelings of despair, grief, sense of loss, anxiety, pain, and hurt.

I’d say Stargazer is very discouraged on the job hunt, sigh.

My daughter is asking for prayer as she drives the ambulance in LA today. She just texted: “Please pray, awful weather, awful drivers.”
My entire family is out on the road today in various places with terrible rain, stupid drivers and the like. 😦
