I am still stuck on the refugee business. Do we stand up for marriage? For life? For morals? For education? Then, why do we slide and invite a few thousand folk who believe in plural marriage, death by stoning, no western education? Are we trying to change our country to look like another country?

My country was conquered in 1865. Yet, a smoldering ember still remains.
And so what do we, as Christians do? Stand up for our country so Christians and others will have a place to come, or let everybody come and do whatever they want to the country as long as we extend hospitality? In the Old Testament, the Hebrews were told to welcome foreigners if they were willing to abide by the law.

I would say we conquered your country but we were not yet a state at that time.

Ricky, we should have rid ourselves of the unconstitutional practice of slavery before it got to that point. It should have been abolished in 1776.
