Lots of trivial stuff that is not interesting, but ultimately very important.
A teacher having her students write the Islamist statement of faith in Arabic.
The Muslim taxi driver who was fined because he wouldn’t allow a woman to sit in the front of his car with him.
A teacher at Wheaton saying that Muslims and Christians worship the same god.
Obama vowing to empty Guantanamo
And there’s always Trump..
“Shahada” is the word I was trying to think of. I was confusing it with the bismillah, which Muslims say before starting a speech.
Bismillah is “In the name of Allah” Walid Shoebat, in God’s War on Terror , posits that this is the “666” in Greek that John saw. I asked a guy who understands Greek if this is so.
He doesn’t agree with Sheobat, but agrees that it is possible.
I Googled shahada
The Shahada (also spelled “Shahadah”) is the Islamic Creed, one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The word “Shahada” comes from the verb shahida, meaning “he testifies” or “he bears witness.” In reciting the Shahada, a Muslim bears witness that Allah is the only true god, and that Muhammad is Allah’s prophet. The shortest form of the Shahada would be translated:
“There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”
“If the OPM hack seemed like a catastrophe, the Juniper hack revealed for the first time by CNN sounds like Game Over. The OPM hack went on for more than a year without being detected, but the Juniper breach went on for three years, and cracked open encrypted communications within both the federal government and the private sector:
A major breach at computer network company Juniper Networks has U.S. officials worried that hackers working for a foreign government were able to spy on the encrypted communications of the U.S. government and private companies for the past three years.
The FBI is investigating the breach, which involved hackers installing a back door on computer equipment, U.S. officials told CNN. Juniper disclosed the issueThursday along with an emergency security patch that it urged customers to use to update their systems “with the highest priority.”
The concern, U.S. officials said, is that sophisticated hackers who compromised the equipment could use their access to get into any company or government agency that used it.
One U.S. official described it as akin to “stealing a master key to get into any government building.”

They had the run of the system… Yes, including the FBI’s, who is investigating it. Same system.
They probably cut costs by having some/all of the work done in China.
I saw somewhere that we will use some Russian engines to launch military satellites.
That idea must have come from some Ivey League graduates.
I know it’s almost the only topic I ever post on here when I visit, but have you thought about Paul Ryan? He is the reason we have been so wrong all these years to vote for the “lesser of two evils.” I haven’t thought Rush was tough enough on these compromisers over the years, but his take on Ryan and the R party has been pretty spot on.
To repeat myself: if we hadn’t adopted the (anti-Biblical) strategy of supporting the lesser of two evils, we would not have a traitor (yeah, I said that) like Paul Ryan as Speaker. We have been blowing it all along, so we shouldn’t be surprised this is what we’ve got–no appreciable difference between the worst president in U.S. history and the Republican speaker of the House. Pretty cool.
If we hadn’t we would be on our 24th year of Democrat rule and I doubt we would recognize the country. You tell me how 35% of the country is going to tell the other 65% what to do?
I disagree, KBells. We would have honored the Lord, regardless of the consequences. Besides, who is to say what would have happened? There’s no way to say. Since we’re only talking hypotheticals, it’s possible the nation would have actually *heard a message* by our standing on principle, and politicians would have recognized how invaluable the Christian vote is. But instead, they saw we were pushovers, so they felt no need to govern responsibly.
But we do know what HAS happened employing our lesser of evils strategy, and it’s hard to imagine the country going any faster toward the cliff than it has the past 30 years. No, it’s our fault.
Besides, McCain, Romney, Boehner and Ryan are not idea but they are hardly evil. I believe they are good men doing the best they can in difficult times.
I also believe (with the possible exception of Trump) that all the current Republican candidates are good people who have the good of the country at heart.

If you’re rolling towards a cliff, slowing down is not as good as stopping but it beats speeding up.
