  1. First up…..

Hands Up, Don’t Shoot! is ranked as one of the biggest lies of 2015.

    http://www.politico.com/story/2015/12/hands-up-dont-shoot-false-216736

“Campaign trail whoppers dominate The Washington Post’s annual list of the biggest political “Pinocchios” of 2015, published Monday. But among a collection of dubious statements that earned four “Pinocchios” from Republican poll leader Donald Trump and other candidates is the phrase that launched countless protests and calls for police accountability and reform: “hands up, don’t shoot.”

Those words, which rose to the public consciousness following the August 2014 shooting of Michael Brown by police officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri, rang hollow with federal investigators. As the Post first noted in its March 19 fact check, a St. Louis County jury could not confirm testimonies to the effect that Brown had been holding his hands above his head and telling Wilson not to shoot him. A Department of Justice investigation released earlier in March could not corroborate those details, either, after interviewing roughly 40 witnesses.”

    And in other Ferguson news….
The protesters are now acting shocked that one of their looting/arsonist buddies got an 8 year sentence for his stupidity. They think it’s unfair. What do you expect from a bunch whose whole reason for existence is based on lies like the one above?

    http://www.riverfronttimes.com/newsblog/2015/12/11/ferguson-protesters-express-shock-at-eight-year-sentence-for-joshua-williams

“Activists and allies of the Ferguson protest movement were stunned Thursday when a St. Louis County Circuit Court judge sentenced Josh Williams to eight years in prison.

Last month, the nineteen-year-old Williams pleaded guilty to arson, burglary and stealing; the charges stemmed from a December 23, 2014 protest during which Williams was recorded entering a Berkeley QuikTrip (which had initially been broken into by looters) and lighting fires inside and outside the convenience store.

Williams’ supporters packed the courtroom in Clayton yesterday, and many took to Twitter to voice their anger at the prosecution’s request for the judge to “make an example” of Williams.

Others noted that Williams’ actions caused little actual damage and that a teenager would now be imprisoned for years while Darren Wilson, the ex-Ferguson officer whose shooting of Michael Brown sparked the protest movement last year, remains free.”

  2. One of my relatives is a teacher in the Watts area of LA. He got to school just in time to be sent home. “It took 90 minutes on the freeway.”

You have to deal with a credible threat, of course, but you’ve also just emboldened any would-be or wanna-be terrorists.

The other problem is LA is not familiar with the concept of “snow days,” and so folks don’t have contingency plans. What a mess!

  3. NYC schools (according to NY police chief Bratton, who was our police chief for a while too) received essentially the same threat and determined it was a hoax, school is going on as usual there.

  4. I really don’t think there’s anything special about my meatloaf. I use regular ground beef (not the leanest, not the fattiest). I add an egg, “some” Worcestershire Sauce, “some” corn flake crumbs, salt and pepper, and a little shredded or dried onion (sorry, Chas). It is served with a sauce that came from my DIL’s family (1/2 c. brown sugar, 3/4 c. catsup, 2 tbsp. vinegar, 2 tsp. prepared mustard, mix in saucepan, bring to boil, reduce and simmer for 3 minutes) and sauteed mushrooms (saute in butter and garlic, add some Taylor’s Port wine, and reduce). That’s it, but it seems like folks love it.

  5. So they can’t look at the social media accounts of immigrants, because that would be racist, profiling, or whatever they call it this week. But really it’s because muslims have infiltrated the WH.

    http://dailycaller.com/2015/11/19/obama-officials-trained-to-focus-on-behavior-not-religion-or-ideology/

“Since 2012, the FBI’s guiding principles training manual in the Touchstone Document has stated:

Training must emphasize that no investigative or intelligence collection activity may be based solely on race, ethnicity, national origin, or religious affiliation. Specifically, training must focus on behavioral indicators that have a potential nexus to terrorist or criminal activity, while making clear that religious expression, protest activity, and the espousing of political or ideological beliefs are constitutionally protected activities that must not be equated with terrorism or criminality absent other indicia of such offenses.”

“Training must be consistent with the Constitution and Department values. Training must promote, and never undermine, our fundamental principles of equal justice and opportunity for all, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and our other core national values. Trainings must not disparage groups or individuals based on their race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, economic condition, political affiliation or other similar characteristics.

“The 2012 FBI directive to remove religious and political motivations from investigations and screening came at a time when the Obama administration was busy purging anything they believed might reflect poorly on Muslims, regardless of how it effected our national security,” national security consultant David Reaboi told The Daily Caller.”

  6. But if your white, a citizen, or a Christian, you’re fair game because you might be an extremist. Isn’t it nice how constitutional protections for citizens are ignored, yet they extend those protections to non-citizens?

It’s for our own good. Got it? 🙄

    http://dailycaller.com/2015/12/14/dhs-monitors-americans-social-media-accounts-but-not-visa-applicants/

“The Department of Homeland Security has operated a program to monitor ordinary Americans’ social media discussions about the agency’s policy directives, even though it had in place another policy prohibiting agents from checking visa applicants’ social media accounts for possible signs of terrorist leanings.

The agency’s policy against vetting visa applicants was revealed on Monday by John Cohen, a former DHS under-secretary for intelligence and analysis.

Now an intelligence analyst at ABC News, Cohen says that last year, DHS Sec. Jeh Johnson resisted changing the agency’s policy against viewing visa applicants’ social media accounts as part of the screening process to let them into the U.S.”

“Compare that hands-off policy to one that the agency has approved for monitoring open source social media activity of regular Americans.

In its “National Operations Center Media Monitoring Capability Desktop Reference Binder,” published in 2011, DHS encouraged agents to compile reports based upon a list of items of interest (IOI) which included discussions on sites like Twitter and Facebook about “policy directives, debates and implementations related to DHS.””

“The Islamic State issued a fatwa condemning to death children with Down’s syndrome, according to the Facebook page Mosul Eye, which says it reports news from within Islamic-State-occupied Mosul.

“The Shar’i Board of ISIL issued an ‘Oral Fatwa’ to its members authorizing them to ‘kill newborn babies with Down’s Syndrome and congenital deformities and disabled children.

“The Fatwa was issued by one of ISIL’s Shar’i judges, a Saudi judge named ’Abu Said Aljazrawi’.”

Mosul Eye claimed to have recorded “more than 38 confirmed cases of killing babies with congenital deformities and Down’s Syndrome, aged between one week to three months.”

  8. This is what happens when the RE@# try to pretend they know how to fight a war.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/dec/14/us-has-mapped-isis-propaganda-centers-but-wont-lau/print/

“In a secret project tied to the overall U.S. campaign against the Islamic State, intelligence officials have spent months mapping out known physical locations of media safe houses where the extremist group’s operatives are compiling, editing and curating raw video and print materials into finished digital propaganda products for dissemination across the Internet.

Most of the locations are embedded in heavily residential areas in Syria, Iraq and Libya and are not being targeted by U.S. airstrikes because of Obama administration concerns about civilian casualties, according to sources who spoke to The Washington Times only on the condition of anonymity.

The White House also has been pressing the intelligence community to continue studying the facilities for a deeper understanding of how the Islamic State and its media enterprises operate, the sources said.

While the White House, CIA and Pentagon declined to comment on the clandestine mapping project, its existence was revealed amid mounting debate over whether the administration’s strategy is robust enough for countering the professionalized blitz of digital propaganda that the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS and ISIL, is using to recruit fighters and radicalize supporters around the world.

The administration is engaged publicly in a dual-track approach that involves an interagency push to spread carefully crafted messaging online and through local partners in various corners of the world to counter the Islamic State, while ramping up pressure on American social media companies to block extremist content and links from their online platforms.

But critics, including a growing number of lawmakers on Capitol Hill and some current and former officials directly involved in the project, say the administration’s effort is badly mismanaged and underfunded, allowing the Islamic State to maintain a physical footprint of media production houses upon which creation of the terrorist group’s most influential products depends.

The propaganda operation’s vastness and sophistication are considered unprecedented in Islamic terrorism. Although its penetration across the Internet relies on a seemingly endless spray of links posted by the Islamic State on social media sites, it is the core media products that such links lead back to that analysts describe as most worrisome.”

    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/627074/EXCLUSIVE-Cameron-warned-ISIS-run-camps-UK-getting-20-000-Syrian-refugees-from

“The Prime Minister has come under under fire after the International Development Committee, which is investigating the Syrian refugee crisis, received evidence that ISIS and other Islamic extremist groups were running the camps within the war-torn country, but also in Lebanon and Jordan where the majority of the 20,000 heading for the UK are currently based.

A report by Barnabas Fund, an organisation which helps persecuted Christians across the globe, said Mr Cameron was told there were Islamic extremists within the refugee camps for displaced Syrians in Lebanon when he visited them in September, weeks BEFORE any of the refugees began coming to the UK.

Mr Cameron announced the extended number of asylum seekers in September after the harrowing image of the Syrian boy who drowned trying to get to Europe went around the globe.

The Barnabus report said: “In September 2015 Lebanon’s Education minister Elias Bou Saab told British Prime Minister David Cameron during a tour of refugee camps that some Syrian refugees travelling to Europe were Islamists, adding that this was also the case among those living in refugee camps.”

It added that “recent analysis” of the activity of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) among Syrian refugees in Lebanon found extremists were recruiting refugees in Lebanon.

It said: “While FSA does not seem to actively recruit among the refugees in Lebanon, radical Islamist groups appear to be active.”

The UK is taking 20,000 people from the camps over the next five years, with most coming from Lebanon after the Government struck a deal with the US that America would deal mainly with those in Jordan.

It had earlier been claimed ISIS members had infiltrated some camps, but this is the first claim they actually control them.”

  10. Odd. The UK govt is selling IP addresses which are then resold and used by ISIS.

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/technology-science/technology/hackers-trace-isis-twitter-accounts-7010417

“Hackers have claimed that a number of Islamic State supporters’ social media accounts are being run from internet addresses linked to the Department of Work and Pensions.

A group of four young computer experts who call themselves VandaSec have unearthed evidence indicating that at least three ISIS-supporting accounts can be traced back to the DWP’s London offices.

Every computer and mobile phone logs onto the internet using an IP address, which is a type of identification number.

The hacking collective showed Mirror Online details of the IP addresses used by a trio of separate digital jihadis to access Twitter accounts, which were then used to carry out online recruitment and propaganda campaigns.

At first glance, the IP addresses seem to be based in Saudi Arabia, but upon further inspection using specialist tools they appeared to link back to the DWP.”

    http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015/12/15/students-practice-calligraphy-by-writing-there-is-no-god-but-allah.html?intcmp=hpbt2

“A Virginia school district is defending a classroom assignment that required students to practice calligraphy by writing the Muslim statement of faith, “There is no god but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”

““Neither these lessons, nor any other lesson in the world geography course, are an attempt at indoctrination to Islam or any other religion, or a request for students to renounce their own faith or profess any belief,” the district said in a statement provided to Fox News.

The Muslim-friendly calligraphy assignment took place in a world geography class. The teacher had the kids copy the Muslim statement of faith, also known as the shahada.

Parents told The Schilling Show that their children were not given the translation of what they were writing.

In other words, there were more than likely a few Christian teenagers in that room who had no idea they were writing, “There is no god but Allah.”

But the school district doesn’t seem to think that’s a problem.”
    ————————————

But you can bet they’d think it a problem had someone “accidentally/unintentionally” slipped in a Christian phrase, like say John 3:16.
