Elizabeth has some pain in her shoulder which the doc thinks is muscular due to the trauma of impact. She’ll have an x-ray today to make sure that’s all it is. She got freaked out in the car on the way home yesterday when someone swerved into our lane. Hopefully it’s just a temporary reaction. I have the same problem due to the prior accident, it’s not a temporary thing, and it’s why I don’t drive much anymore.
In my case it seems I’ve re-aggravated a lower back injury, my right shoulder, and right arm and hand tendonitis. My left shoulder is very sore now too. I feel pretty beat up. They also put me back on the anti-anxiety meds to help me deal with the mental trauma and reappearance of my PTSD symptoms. They also gave me muscle relaxers to help ease some of the pain.
I so didn’t need to fight this fight again, but here we go anyway.
AJ, do you have a good lawyer? I did for my accident and he was a God-send. He handled everything (ethically on both sides) and got me an excellent, fair settlement. They know the ins and outs and the questions to ask. I assume you do, having been through this before, but if not, you might ask your insurance broker for a suggestion, as they know who the good ones are.
Sorry to hear of this added trauma for your family, AJ. I well remember the terror driving held for me for several years after being involved in several accidents. I was not at fault and that just made me more scared. So much we cannot control! Of course, all of life is that way and one of the reasons Jesus told his disciples (and us) not to be afraid! Praying for you and your family, AJ, to regain a sense of peace and joy quickly!
So sorry AJ, with all that you’ve been dealing with already, this surely was bad timing at the least. 😦 Glad nothing’s broken (physically!) though.
Heard from Carol last night, she’s feeling better & is looking forward to a possible visit from her boyfriend on Thursday (although he’s got major health issues as well and has been to the hospital a couple times in recent weeks). He said he wants to buy her a bracelet with their names engraved on it. She suggested he also have them engrave the words “I love you.” 🙂 Nothing subtle about Carol. He said he would. She’s very excited with made me happy.
I’ve had my issues with him and their relationship at times, but I’m glad she has him in her life. She needs that someone ‘special,’ and she’s never had an actual boyfriend before.
Apparently, a couple seventeen year old friends of the boys were cleaning guns in one of their hotel rooms when a gun went off and shot one of the boys in an area men do not want to be shot. Sounds like extensive damage. Prayer for the boys involved. Thanks
We went to see the doctor yesterday.

Praying, AJ, Donna, Kim too.
As for me, a whole bunch of little things have been happening lately, adding up to what feels like too much, but I know it’s not.

That happens to me, too, 6. Praying for peace, strength, & clarity, & whatever else you may need.
