Prayer Requests 12-3-15

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 30

¹I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.

11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lordmy God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

  1. Praying for you, Kim. And BG, too, you know.

Second Arrow is on her way home. She is still sick, and won’t be working overnight tonight, but decided to head back anyway. Prayers for attentiveness and safety on her 3-hour journey. Thanks.

  2. Went to school to pick up fourteen year old daughter. She fell and thinks she fell on her behind but somebody said she bumped her head. Somebody else said there were no witnesses. Anyway, she is slightly discombobulated and I have her on the couch resting. She says she thinks she snapped her teeth together so I am guessing the jarring of that slam caused a slight concussion. She does not remember lunch or what she did in school this morning and bits and pieces of the accident. It frustrates her. Prayer for wisdom. Thanks.

  3. Jo, I don’t know your situation or what the email says. Some years back I broke up with a narcissist. I tried several times to get away from him but he wouldn’t let me go until he found my replacement/his next victim. That was 7 years ago. He randomly emails me still. While I know I should delete them, I do open them to see where he has seen me that triggers him to try to make contact. I never answer them. To answer would give him a crack in the door to try to destroy the life I have now. I can never risk that. Luckily we never had any more than a doomed relationship and I am not proud of that period in my life. Your situation probably is much different, but I will definitely pray that you will know the correct way to handle this.

  4. Heavenly Father.

How sweet it is to know You carry us through the days and nights of worry and concern over loved ones. Thank You for taking away the “if only I’d done this or that” thoughts that at times want to hover like a plague. Thank You that we have witnessed through Your words in the Bible and through current day lives how You turn bad things to good. You are fully worthy of all our trust. Lord, I lift up Kim for You to comfort her and give her peace during the stormy sea time. Jesus slept through a storm. Please help Kim to relax into You, into Jesus, and into the Holy Spirit—-into the Almighty Three-in-One God, Who knows and sees all. I pray for Your invisible walls to guard BG. I think they already have been since she always gets caught. You are good. Thank You! Please give a season of peace for Kim. She has been through so much.

Lord, please help Jo with her new concern over the email. What should she do? Please make a clear path. If she has emotions stirred I pray You will even them out so she can think clearly. Please give her an extra dose of wisdom and excellent advice from the rlders. Thank You for Your church and the way it has helped her through to better days and situations. Please give her peace, too, that passes understanding and rest during the storm, on board with Jesus all the way!

Thank You for seeing 6 Arrows daughter back to her place. May this long-lasting illness leave her body and may her immunity to illness grow strong. Thank You for her employment and how she works diligently. Help 6 to trust in Your care of her beloved daughter. Please quickly nurse her back to abounding good health.

I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
