Peter’s Pack of Pickled Pigskin Picks “15-Week 14

Championship Week! This weekend most of these games are conference championships. The only exceptions are the tie breaker, which is a Big 12 match-up, and the Pillow Fight. The Big 12 doesn’t have an actual championship. The “unofficial” champion was crowned last weekend when Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State.

And since there is only one game next week, it is included as a bonus. We all know who is going to win that game, but pick the winner anyway. (Hint – Go Navy! Army

Editor’s note…..

I’m going for the “safe” picks in most of these.

  3. I am not going to ask the obvious question.

Let’s see now, who won last week?

Okay, my vision of the future:

    Clemson
    Michigan St.
    West. Kentucky
    Bowling Green
    Air Force
    Stanford
    Bama
    Louisiana Monroe
    Baylor 40-36

    Army

Heart picks this week…except in the SEC… Lesser of two evils…

  6. The Longhorns just got interception #2, and fight #2 broke out on the same play.

It looks like there’s no way back for Baylor, who are now using quarterback #4.

  7. Having said that, it’s getting close in the 4th. The #4 QB, who is actually a receiver, just made an incredible dive into the end zone, and the Bears are within 3…

  8. Oh, now I see that no one picked Texas to win. So, if there is a tie after tonight’s games, then we’ll use the Army-Navy game score as a tie breaker.

  9. So now Florida gets a TD and is down by “only” 14 points with 5:50 some left. I guess there is still a chance for the Gators to pull off an upset. Stay tuned.

  10. Guys- Two ladies made us look like amateurs this week. Mumsee and kbells took it to us big time. For now: Congrats kbells! She has 9, mumsee has 8. If Army wins next week, then the two of them will tie. But for now, kbells wins!

Here are how the games played out:
Houston 24 – Temple 13. Not much of a surprise there.
Clemson 45 – NC 37. I’m surprised at how NC got so many points in the second half.
Mich St 16 – Iowa 13. The Hawkeye defense couldn’t hold the Spartans at the goal line with less than a minute left.
WKU 45 – So Miss 28. I don’t know if that’s an upset or not.
    Bowling Green 34 – NIU 14.
SDSU 27 – AFA 24. These two games really don’t matter to most of the college football world.
Bama 29 – Florida 15. For a while I thought it would be a lower scoring game.
ULM 42 – NMSU 35. I guess you could say it’s an upset when the team with only one win wins. But the “Other” Aggies are not that great.
Texas 23 – Baylor 17. The biggest upset of the day. It knocked Baylor out of the “big 6” bowl games.

    Our results:
    kbells 9
    Mumsee 8
    Tychicus and Peter 6
    Janice and Chas 5
    IBNO 4
Some guy from back East 1

See you all next year! (Unless we do the bowl games.)
