Several prayer requests (and a praise). Why don’t I just give you a list. 😉
1. Prayers for 1st Arrow’s and my brother-in-law’s safe return. They left Missouri very early this morning, and son called just now and reported they are about half way back.
2. Continued prayers for my father-in-law.
3. Prayers for my attitude. I was doing my Bible reading and devotion while hubby was getting ready to go visit his dad, and he kept thinking of different things to tell me, or ask me to find, or what have you. Twenty minutes later, after having first sat down to read a 32-verse chapter and a short, 1-page devotion, and still not quite finished with it, when hubby reported that 5th Arrow was up (earlier than usual) and milling around, looking like he didn’t know what to do, and would I please help him get occupied with something, I got impatient and, with thinly-veiled irritation, told him I just wanted to finish my Bible reading and devotion, “but I keep getting interrupted.” 😦 After reading the remaining three or four sentences of today’s devotion, I glanced out the window and saw hubby’s car leaving the driveway and heading down the road. Boy, did I feel guilty. Why was I so adamant in finishing my readings before cheerfully serving my husband right when he needed it? 😦
4. Praises to God for the understanding husband I have. I called him a few minutes later to apologize for my irritation, and he was not the least bit angry with me. In fact, he said he noticed that 3rd Arrow was up, and acknowledged that he could have asked her to assist 5th Arrow.
That’s about it for now. On with the day. Thank you very much for your prayers.
A reminder to please keep praying for Lee’s health. There is, of course, the prostate cancer that we would like to see God heal, or at least keep at bay for many years. From the over-work, stress, & lack of sleep over the past two & a half years, Lee feels worn out, & much older than he is (60). Please pray for a restoration of general good health.
And please pray for his heart. I mentioned months ago that, after a stress test, Lee was advised to see a cardiologist. But he hasn’t taken the time to do so yet.
Emily recently used her new pulse-ox thingie (it goes on a finger, & quickly measures a person’s heart rate & oxygen level, & it shows the heart beat, like an EKG). Lee’s heart rate is quite low (I think it was 57), which he’s already known, & the “EKG” showed his heart beat in curvy waves rather than the spikes of a normal heartbeat.
(I guess I could use prayer for my heart as well, because Emily says my heart is beating too fast.)
It’s been a rainy day and in thinking about the rain, I realize there are millions of raindrops falling to earth at any moment. Then I thought like prayers going in the opposite direction up to You. But then I realized prayers must be more like vapor rather than droplets. Hmmm…You always keep me pondering and I thank You for my pondering friends here who have been thinking of heaven and the new earth lately. You give us good things to dwell on. Thank You.
Lord, I just had to neglect the phone ringing because the last time I answered while posting a prayer I lost it. Now Bosley just jumped from the bookcase onto me and Art is trying to talk to me. As 6 Arrows said, when we try to focus on You there can be a steady stream of interuptions.
Please help 6 Arrows and her fsmily to deal with all that is going on in their world, both the mentioned and unmentioned. You are our fully aware God. Nothing gets past Your supernatural radar. So please help in all areas of concern this evening, tomorrow and all days and nights until resolution is complete.
I pray for Karen O and Lee as they have weariness and health issues bearing down on them. May they feel lifted up, as if walking on air. (another call interuption) and may thoughts of Your love bearing the weight of their problems give them renewed strength. I pray that they will be able to get good heath care at affordable prices, and I thank You that Emily continues in her medical studies so she can give good advice. Thank You for the treasure they all have in Forrest. (phone rings, again, and Bosley pounced on me,again and is kneading me with sharp claws)
Lord, please help Art get through tomorrow’s procedures regarding his urinary tract and may everything be ok. Please let it be determined what is causing blood in his urine. Help me to continue to be a good support for him during this time of his need. Thank You for his good doctors.
Please cover AJ and Cheryl with Your care and love in a variety of ways doing more than they could hope for or imagine. Bring joy into their hearts that can not be quenched by present trials.
Please help Annms and her family in all they are dealing with. Please make a way for L to get back on board with Jesus and no longer doubt the faith she once began developing. Please help with the situation of her mom’s dependance on alcohol.
There are so many more things I could pray about tonight, Lord. Please help those in need that I have not yet lifted up. You are so good as You make Your will come to pass on earth as it is done in heaven. Blessed be the name of Jesus in Whom I offer up this prayer. Amen
Thank you for all the prayers. My father-in-law passed away late this afternoon. Hubby is doing alright, and we are feeling sustained by the Lord’s tender mercies.

6 Arrows, without knowing any more than that, my heart is heavy with you, and I just prayed for you.
