Prayer for us as the boys head out to hunting camp and the three and I stay here? Why do I have the two fourteen year olds? How does that work? Well, I also have the eight year old and she is a willing assistant so we will be okay. Prayer for the mighty hunters.
Fourteen year old managed to turn all of his work in on time at school and thus earned his bike back. No more walking to and from town. For now. And his grades are up so that is good. Praise and prayer he continue on the right path.
Other fourteen year old is very caught up in gods and goddesses. She fully believes in them. Prayer for her to hear the Truth and hold on to it. Thanks.
Is this as in Greek and Roman mythology or is it some sort of new agey getting in touch with the goddess within?
Yesterday at Greek Fest I went into the church and left a dollar, made a cross in the sand and lit a candle—can’t hurt. I asked God to please help the child He gave me. How she can NOT believe in God when she is literally the answer to prayer is beyond me. I will add yours to mine.
This is the gods and goddesses of mythology. Zeus, Thor, Loki, Isis. Interesting that we have Isis again, in a different form. I have explained that poets like Homer made them up just like she makes up stories. I have explained that she could call my bucket a god and worship it, ut it is still a bucket. She just says she believes things her own way, different from other folk.
I was talking to yet another acquaintance whose friend left the family a while back because he wanted to be in charge and had decided that polygamy was biblical. The children, of course, were as devastated as she was and are now distancing themselves from God. Prayer for them individually and as a family to be restored. I think patriarchy comes into it, and that they had not been in fellowship for over a decade.
Thank You for seeing us all through another week. We never know what the days may hold, but just knowing You are with us, going before us, watching us from behind, and keeping us straight on all sides means we can trust You will see us through no matter what. Please help us to always be attentive to You as the highest Authority over all else.
I pray today for the lost young ones among the families and friends who visit this site. They are many. I was just pondering a friend, You know the one, who is rebellious and making up her own religion. Unless people are firm believers in You as You really are according to Your word, then they go off in all directions piecing together a false God. What it really means, though, is that they consider themselves as god and the controller of their life. They make a god to their liking, one they make to bless and accept their chosen lifestyle contrary to what You command in the Bible. Lord, You are aware of all the false gods that have been worshiped in Your place. You have knocked them down before and shown the reality of You being the One True God. Please do something similar to false gods in the lives of these young people who are cared about so much. Also, please do it for my friend who I have not seen for awhile. I would be so happy when we talk about You if I would find out that she has finally accepted You according to Who You are and that she has rejected her false god that involves reincarnation and other odd things not of You.
I pray all has been going well for Mumsee and Mike this weekend with their crew both out in the field and on the home front. Thank You for improving grades and developing responsibility.The value of life skills learned at the Nest is priceless. Thank You for the unique talents You gave to Mumsee and Mike to be able to work with these young people who are so needy to begin with and then they turn out to be good citizens who are helpful to others.
I do pray for rain for PNG and CA in parts that still need it. No floods and mudslides, please. Thank You for letting people realize the importance of water, a natural resource of Your Creation at the beginning. Those who previously took it for granted now realize how precious it is. I pray for You to continue to bless earth with rain to pat down the dust and water the crops. Thank You for how green Atlanta is after that long drought we had. May those in PNG and CA be able to say the same soon.
I pray for the persecuted Christians worldwide to have safety from torment. Please care for them all whether they are remaining in unsafe circumstances or walking away with only the clothes on their backs. Help those who are packed into refugee camps not knowing anything to expect of the future. Please show them that You are the God Who can bring them through to better days and circumstances. I also lift up Israel and all the nation and leaders suffer through during these days of unrest and threats of annilation. Please bless that land and people with Your undeniable protection and keep them forever in Your good favor. Help the USA to be a better support for Israel.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for seeing us all through another week. We never know what the days may hold, but just knowing You are with us, going before us, watching us from behind, and keeping us straight on all sides means we can trust You will see us through no matter what.
