Prayer Requests 10-3-15

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 124

¹If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;

If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

  1. Please pray for my husband. He is in an awful lot of pain. He got referred to a different chiropractor, and his appointment yesterday was a disaster — he’s messed up more than ever since she “adjusted” him, and he loudly grimaces in pain with every move he makes with the bad arm/shoulder.

    Thank you.

  2. Praying.

My friend had a stroke yesterday – she’s the mother of the baby boy we prayed for 2-3 years ago with pancreas problem (he’s doing great since his surgery) She is in hospital, the clot dissolving drugs are working, but she may have suffered brain damage. Please pray for Melissa, her husband and her 2 boys.

  3. Please pray for my father-in-law. He is being transported from the nursing home to a hospital in our area. Needs a pacemaker, it sounds like.

And for anyone awake right now who may see this, please also pray for my hubby. He just left to drive to the hospital, acting as the family spokesperson, updating his siblings and mom about his dad’s condition. Hubby is still in a lot of pain, so prayers that he can drive as distraction-free as he can, given the present worries, on his 30-minute journey to the hospital are greatly appreciated.

  4. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being ever present in times of need. Thank You for being there with 6 Arrows family, her husband in particular during this difficult and demanding time. The old cliche,”when it rains it pours,” has never quit being applicable. Please let the “rain” clear. May a bright, sunny, and painfree day be next on his agenda. Please provide a better chiropractor if tbat is needed. You know the remedies. Also, please provide excellent care and results in the hospital for his father.

I pray, too, for the mama who had the stroke. Please let there not be permanent irreversible damage. Help her to snap back from this incident so quickly for her family’s sake. Please provide e,cellent therapy if needed to bring her up to full function. Please provide good help during her recouperatipn.

I ask continuing blessings upon my husband, Art, as he awaits medical procedures. May everything that he has done to his body be done in such a manner as to foster good health and in no way as being harmful or unneeded. Please help him to much better health, strength of body, mind, and spirit through the power of Jesus. I pray that throughout this tather scary time that
Art will learn to rely on You even more, Abba, and that his faith in Jesus will be rock solid, and that he will feel the presence of the Holy Spirit encoraging him when he feels overwhelmed.

I pray for Kbells family. You are aware of all aspects of her family’s needs. May she wait on You with patience as You sort things out for her family and make the best outcome possible.

Lord, many are praying today for Israel and Jerusalem. Please bless that land and people and all tourist as a result of the prayer outreach. How sweet the prayers must sound to You when You hear them from all sides. Please keep Israel safe from terrorists, and from individuals driven by cultural influences inciting hatred for the Jewish and Christian people. I ask that an awakening will happen in the nation so people will recognize Jesus as the long awaited Savior. We spend time on many frivalous activities. Help us to become more committed toward doin what Your word says, specifically, to pray for NerusLem.

I prsise and adore You, great Almigjty God. May You be pleased with our prayers this day and look favorably upon our many intercessions. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  5. Hubby called home just now and said his dad might not get a pacemaker put in anyway. The risk/benefit ratio isn’t favorable. The main problem right now is he has a blood clot in his lung. Thanks for prayers.

  6. Not reading, just asking for prayer. I took Mike to the ER this morning, with what we thought could be a heart attack. they ruled that out but did admit him. He has fluid around the lungs and heart and they think he might have pneumonia. Thanks for praying.

  7. Oh, sorry to hear that, Mumsee, but glad it wasn’t a heart attack. Prayers certainly.

Kare, any word on your friend who had the stroke Friday? She and her family are in my prayers, as well.

  8. Praying for all. Thank you again, Janice, for your prayers which speak just what I want to pray.

The latest update on my friend is that the clot hasn’t moved and she was cleared to eat something last night. Other than that, no more news. Please keep praying; those precious boys need their mommy.

  9. Praying for all these requests.

Please pray again for Lee. The closing for his route is scheduled for the 21st of this month, but that seems so far away right now as he fights exhaustion & stress. He was so very down this evening before going to bed. Also, the wondering what he is to do next is getting more anxious. Praying he has a deep, sweet, refreshing sleep.

  11. Update on my friend from her husband: “I just called the hospital M had a good night just finished her breakfast and she is feeling well. We are scheduled to have an exam on Monday to see if the clot is gone. M’s stroke doctor believes it will be cleared. Thank you all for your prayers and kind words it means a lot to have support.”

  12. Thanks for the update, Kare. That sounds hopeful. I’ll keep M in my prayers.

Some good news to report with my FIL, also: 1st Arrow visited him tonight at the hospital and reported that his grandpa was in good spirits…talking and talking, cracking jokes… 🙂 Obviously feeling quite a bit better than early this morning.

The power of prayer…thank you all, and praise God!

(And Michelle, I’d love to hear more about your talk on prayer, too.) 🙂

  13. Husband will probably be there for a while. They will be doing a heart test tomorrow. They thought they would not be able to do it until Wednesday but the technician changed her schedule and will be at this hospital on Mondays. Convenient for us. Thanks for praying and any continued prayer.
