Prayer Requests 9-16-15

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 106:1-8

¹Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? who can shew forth all his praise?

Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.

Remember me, O Lord, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;

That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.

Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

  1. Continuing yesterday’s conversation on dry eyes:

    Donna – I took a look at Restasis online, but it seems quite expensive. I’ll try the gel drops & see how that goes. At night, I use an ointment, the consistency of petroleum jelly. But I still need to put drops in when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

  2. You know, I try to sleep . . . went to bed at 8:15 last night, at 9:10 was awoken by a phone call from a relative needing help. Very unexpected call. And then was up until who knows when . . .

    Anyway, the story is way too sordid and complex, but please pray for one of my outlaws (relative of an inlaw) J, who is broken and lost. Lost in all sorts of ways–physically, spiritually, emotionally, professionally and unintentionally. Very capable, intelligent, strong and educated, but just broken. The family puzzles us and provides a very poor witness to my cynical relatives.

    I appealed to J’s aunt and uncle to intervene. Pray that J can finally get the needed healing. Currently suffering a bad concussion, the result of a bad bicycle accident. (Not completely unexpected for a professional bicyclist.)

  3. Patanol has helped me, Karen, but it is not cheap. I have a generic I am trying. I was happy with the Patanol, but had it switched by the insurance company with my eye doctor’s permission. I have just stayed with the generic, since it seems to work. I do use Systane in between times, as my eye doctor directed. My problem was watering eyes and I also have a problem with dry eyes, so I understand what you are saying.
