I’ve seen so many praise reports here this week. Thank You for working good into the lives of believers so we can give good reports about Your love and care.
I continue to lift up the need for rain in drought stricken areas. Also for better control of raging fires. Help those Mumsee mentioned who need healing from burns suffered or with grief over loss of life in their family or loss of homes, businesses, schools, etc. I am sure many in the area are comparing what they are going through to hell. Please do not delay longer in bringing relief that can only come from Your hands.
Lord, thank You for supplying wirk opportunities for those in need, for the younger members of our families as well as the breadwinners. Please make a good path to employment for Lee. I ask that his health will take a noticable turn for the better and that he can feel encouraged by that.
Lord, please may all the protests against Planned Parenthood not be neglected by main stream media. May this be the beginning avalanche to bury the evil Planned Parenthood death machine forever.
Thank You for all the Christian authors, editors, and publishers that make known Your word and good news in accessable ways to the masses. May Your word become known and accepted for the truth it is in our culture. Please bring revival, restoration and a new awakening to our desparate land. If repentance is needed to release rain and stop fires, please help us to get quickly to that point. You are in control even when You decide momentarily to let the evil one have his way in the world. O, Father God, help our nation even as its sin pile up so high.
Thank You for giving Jo needed recouperation over the weekend. Please recharge her energy stores.
Please help my son as he prepares for his first week of teaching. May he take it all in as a new learning experience in which he will receive Your help and guidance. May he be held in good favor with his students and of course with You and his peers.
Thank You for continuing to help 6 Arrows mom through recovery. Also for being with Cheryl and AJ during Cheryl’s long recovery experience. May lingering pains lessen each day.
Please bless the Christian Library International Library upcoming fundraiser dinners with smooth setups, presentations, and an abundance of prayer and financial support.
I lift up Annms and her family for whatever needs they have at this time. I hope we will hear back from her soon that things are going better for her. If she or any of her family have been hurt in any way, I pray You will give them comfort and repairs of what got hurt. I pray the new school year is getting off to a good start for them. Please help them all to stay well and headache free. May everything go well for the woman who helps Annms. Please make a good path for their family through any difficulties they encounter. May they feel You to be their upholding strength in times of weakness. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
Praises for walking to church this morning under a dripping umbrella. Oh, it is raining again now. Mostly a gentle rain, but the first we have had in six weeks or so. I actually prayed for a gentle rain as the ground is s dry we need a soaking rain. Wow, I can hear and see this rain and it is coming just as everyone has made it home from church. Praising Him.
Pastor Steve preached on “Answered Prayer” from John 16:24. this morning.
“Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy might be full”.
I don’t remember all the points but it was a good sermon. He illustrated by George Muller, a German who started an orphanage in London.. Muller never asked anyone for support. He prayed about it always. It is said that he would write the prayer request and keep a record of the answers. He had over 50,000 prayer request when he died, and an answer to all but two. Those two are for men whose salvation he desired. One was saved at his funeral, and the other a week later.
Some testimony.
Steve says that God hears every prayer a Christian prays. And he answers each prayer. Sometimes, “yes” sometimes, “No” sometimes “later” (As in the two guys he prayed for.)
I have heard of the idea of keeping a prayer journal before. But I have never done so.
This year I am keeping a prayer journal. I use to keep one every year but dropped off when I started posting a lot of prayers on line. One summer for VBS the children were making prayer journals for an activity. I carried in several of mine and they were fascinated to see them. When they were writing in theirs after that, they were quieter than at any other time that week. They were inspired. 🙂
grieving today. I get the prayer chain from my home church. a friend and father of four older boys has committed suicide. Another very sweet older friend and supporter has died. A trusted and valued employee of this centre has died and another 20 year old girl, daughter of one of the heads of the National translation association died last night. Comfort, comfort ye your people, O Lord.
My best friends who take care of me and whom I stay with, the husband needs a heart bypass operation soon.

Sorry to hear that, jmiller. That is truly grievous!
Thanks for any who prayed for me about the ceremony for my dad. It all went well and I was able to keep things in proper perspective.
