  1. I was reading an article in Newsmax yesterday about Obamacare. The article said, p. 8 quoting Sen. Lamar Alexander, R. Tenn., Chm of the Sen. Health Comm. “Obamacare was a historic mistake. It gave Americans higher healthcare costs while reducing our choices of health plans, doctors and hospitals.” He didn’t mention that he made the nuns buy contraceptives..

But, the issue made me think. “What has Obama done that has been good for America? Seriously! I can’t think of a thing. A lady on TV last night said that he saved the auto industry. I disagree. It was that, not the article, that made me think. Not a thing has he done that has been good.
    Can you think of something?
I know. He brought us together and reduced racial conflict.

  2. He remains popular among my Democrat friends — their view is that his opponents have disrespected him — way more than any other president has ever been disrespected — & made governing nearly impossible for him but that he’s accomplished a lot anyway.

Guess it all depends on what you consider progress. 🙂

  3. Summation of last night’s GOP candidate event from power line writers:

“It’s not difficult to find fault with the individual members of the huge GOP presidential field. But watching nearly all of them (Trump, Huckabee, and Gilmore were no shows) participate in the first candidate’s forum of the cycle, I was impressed with what I saw, and more inclined than I have been for some time to agree that the GOP does have a pretty deep bench. (We don’t get to run a bench, though). …”

  4. I see where my three favorites made it into the debates.
    Scott Walker, my favorite
    Or Ted Cruz and
    Ben Carson.
I would like to see Carley Farino. I haven’t seen enough of her to form an opinion, but I like what I’ve heard so far.
