Prayer Requests 8-3-15

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 61

¹Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.

He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

  1. My daughter just left to travel with 9 others to Nicaragua for the annual eye glass mission trip. They have 2 full days of travel in front of them and she’s exhausted as they start!

Prayer is for safety, of course, excellent opportunities to minister and to be ministered to, and some sleep on the plane! She’s gone for 11 days; four of them travel.

  2. I have asked you to pray before for my own personal WWII Veteran. We celebrated his 90th birthday last September. He is in the hospital and the cancer has spread. I spoke with his son this morning. They have arranged for hospice to come–that is if he is allowed to leave the hospital this time. As I told R his dad has lived a long and happy life, but it is never easy to say good bye to your father. None of what you tell yourself or what others say helps- you are still a child losing a parent. You are never old enough.
Please pray that Mr. B goes peacefully and that family behaves.

  3. My prayer for people in situations like that is that the Lord would give them mercy.
If I were in that situation, I would just want to go. I don’t know about others and don’t judge.
