I do remember from our short experience with the Cub Scouts that they were almost paranoid about child/adult interactions. There had to be at least two kids and two adults present at all times and at the camp there were separate showers for over 18 and under 18. I guess they will have to come up with new rules for older boy/younger boy situations.
Have we gone mad? Woman whose brother tortured, killed, and burned two people and then escaped with the 16-year-old girl into the wilderness . . . is suing the FBI for $20 million, saying they could have brought him in without killing him, and that the rifle shots he fired were an attempt to get help for himself and the girl. (Even if they were, sorry, the guy forfeited his life, and in such a case you definitely err on the side of protecting the girl and yourself, not keeping the murderer alive!)
” Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains was hit with a complaint Wednesday for performing an abortion on a 13-year-old girl without reporting possible sexual abuse against the underage girl and returning her to the man who abused her.
The conservative Alliance Defending Freedom filed a complaint with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs against the Planned Parenthood affiliate on behalf of the pro-life Colorado Family Action.
A lawsuit filed against Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains and four unidentified employees on behalf of the girl was settled earlier this year.
Natalie L. Decker, ADF legal counsel, said that, “Colorado authorities should hold Planned Parenthood and its employees accountable.”
“Failing to report the sexual abuse of a minor is horrifically tragic and illegal,” said Ms. Decker in a statement. “Planned Parenthood has repeatedly shown brazen and appalling disregard for the law, including laws designed to protect children from this kind of damaging physical and emotional abuse.””
They’re more concerned with making money off the abortion than they are with protecting the child.

Just shut down the Boy Scouts before bad things start to happen. The part of the article on Catholic abuses confirms anecdotal reports I had heard.

Don’t relax.
The fact that Congress is going on a five week recess doesn’t mean that nothing bad is going to happen in Washington next month.

When I was a scout (“Once a scout, always a scout” I know.) ,
we didn’t have to worry about such things.

I’m not in favor of trophy hunting, but this gives an interesting perspective on it…
