It’s Wednesday, so please remember to pray for the people in The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 55:1-19
¹Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2 Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
4 My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
7 Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
9 Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
11 Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
13 But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
15 Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
19 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah.
AJ, I am so sorry about Cheryl’s fall and the broken bones. She has my prayers, as do all of you.
Thank you all for your prayers on my early prayer request Saturday for my mom’s surgery today, and for safe travels for my hubby as he helps to move my 22-year-old daughter. He and my 18-year-old daughter are on the road there now, and will likely be traveling at least six hours today.
From an email I got about 15 minutes ago from my sister who is receiving texts from the sister who took my mom to the hospital today:
“Surgery just started. Approx time of surgery itself about hour and
half. Plan to remove some bone that is causing her pain. They know
about her sensitive stomach!”
My dad is at the hospital with my sister, also, waiting for Mom’s surgery to be done. Sister reports that Dad is having no trouble with anxiety (something he sometimes struggles with). He has confidence in the surgeon and is experiencing no problems with his A-fib today. He takes comfort in all the prayers being offered, as I know my mom does, too.
Lee is having his bone scan this afternoon at 2:30. Praying for a clear result.
He still hasn’t heard from Ralph. He is feeling intense discouragement, & thinking he may just give up trying to sell the route, which is a depressing idea. We had a bit of a disagreement this morning about how to proceed. Prayers for wisdom & guidance appreciated.
Thank You for taking care of all the mentioned needs of this day. I’m still wondering how You do it all. Thank You for taking our prayers into consideration as You determine what to act on first, what to wait on, and what You have good reason to say no to. Help us to fully trust in You to meet all our needs. Please give calm assurance that You will work all things for our good. I ask for extra rapid recovery for Cheryl and 6 Arrows mom. In Jesus’ name, Amen
Thank you again for your written prayers, Janice. I appreciate them.
Anyone still up in the next three hours, if you care to pray for my husband’s and daughter’s safe trip home, they’re just leaving the city where oldest daughter moved, and won’t be home until after midnight Central, having been up since before 5:00 this morning. Hubby is not tired and says he’ll be fine driving, as he is wired from tension, due to car troubles with oldest daughter’s vehicle, for which he feels responsible. But he can’t drive it home to work on it and risk breaking down on the interstate at night.
He is frustrated, but not tired, and I’m hoping he won’t be driving distracted by his frustration.

Update 15 minutes ago: “Surgery went well! In recovery now. Talked with dr briefly. No blood
loss. Six to seven inch incision”
SO appreciate the prayers, friends! Thank you VERY much! I am in tears at God’s mercy and goodness.
