Prayer Requests 6-30-15

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 30

¹I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.

11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lordmy God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

  1. I could use some prayer today. My right knee started bothering me worse than usual yesterday. Now today it’s swollen to 2-3 times it’s normal size. It’s very painful and I’m using crutches to get around. I’m going to ice it and lay back down and then we’ll probably need to call the ortho doc later. 😦

    Thanks.

  2. Things are not going well with thirteen year old son, he continues his antics which came to a complete stop as he turned on the charm for the officers. I believe they saw through him, though, which is rare. Prayer for wisdom and safety. Thanks.

  3. We had to do that with a relative, mumsee. It is difficult, but he later said it saved his life. He was furious at the time.

  4. Thank you all.

I was in a lot of pain, and I can’t put any weight on it, so I called the ortho. They can’t see me until Monday. Cheryl convinced me to call my family doc and see if I could get in with them. They gave me an appointment tonight so Cheryl and Elizabeth took me. The doc checked it out, prescribed some pain killers, and will be calling the ortho in the morning to see if they can’t get me in sooner. She said sometimes when another doctor requests it, they’ll squeeze you in. I hope so. The pain killers seem to be working, as long as I don’t move, 🙂

Standing hurts like crazy, as does walking, and now my left knee hurts from carrying the extra weight. And the crutches are killin’ my bad shoulder. Next is usually the hip and back pain from being all off kilter in the knees. And I’m tired.

But at the same time I’m blessed to have a wife and daughter who take care of me when I need it. My Liz was a huge help today. And I have friends who pray for me, so it’s not all bad. 🙂

Now if we can just get the ortho to get with the program, I’ll be set. 😉
