¹Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
Struggling with my health still. I over did it the last couple of days and am paying for it. Yesterday evening was really bad. These are attacks are unusual, in that they sap my energy and stamina levels for a long time after the actual asthmatic symptoms have subsided.
Prayed for you this morning, ros. My dad suffered from asthma all his life, so I have some idea of how difficult that can be.
Our friend, Kim, is in surgery this morning for her cancer. Surgery is difficult because of the tumor being entangled in some other organs. Please pray for her and her family.
I’m feeling sad and burdened over my friend Norma, she’s not doing well (she was diagnosed with terminal cancer — abdominal — a couple months ago and recently turned 82).
I haven’t talked to her in over a week now, I tried calling her Saturday but she didn’t answer so I left a message — I hate to bug her with too many calls, she apparently is sleeping a lot and really wants not to be bothered, I think, as she’s so weary right now. Hospice is checking in on her and may increase their regular visits. I’m going to call one of her teacher friends today.
Pray that her suffering will be short and minimal and that God would give her a special comfort in Him during this time. I hate that she has to go through this and I suppose it also brings up seeing my dad go through it so many years ago. But her faith is strong, she knows where she’s going.
Still … 😦 😦 So tough to have someone you care about go through it. 😦
Daughter is putting in 8 hours at the USC ER today and then goes into work at 9 for an 11 hours shift. Nearly done with the volunteer work, thank God. I think only one more shift.

Amen,
We discussed what Amen means in Bible study last night. This is as close as I can find to share with you.
