Prayer Requests 5-5-15

Does anyone have something they’d like to share?

Psalm 131

¹Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever.

  1. I posted a prayer request early this morning that is not here. It’s still needed.

Please pray for a young woman who needs to keep an appointment this morning–that she would follow through and the Lord would be glorified. Please work on the hard heart of a young man. Please pray for a young teenager who has been broken and abandoned, and possibly destroyed, by her own mother–who has demons of her own that are lashing out at those who would help the girl.

And pray for me as I teach on demons this morning.

Things are very heavy out here this morning.

    Thanks.

  2. I read the prayer requests which make my own see silly. I have been very “unsettled” the past two day. I have no reason for this that I can find. I just need to feel at peace. I need to figure out why and find peace.

  3. My Bible study went very well, lots of conversation. Next week I’ve invited one of the pastors in for Q&A since I don’t want to tackle spiritual warfare on my own . . . . Thanks for prayers. Won’t know about the others for some time, if ever. I had my ladies pray as well and they’re dynamos!

  4. The afternoon was tough. Pretty much what little amount of self confidence I had is being eroded bit by bit. At work I am non existent. I am not considered an agent, but I am not an employee of the company. There were other things that happened that made me feel inadequate and stupid. I have worked on 3 different PowerPoint marketing packages for weeks, but every time I send it to Guy for review he comes back with another change. I just can’t do anything right.
Maybe I just need to go to bed and hope for a better day tomorrow.

  5. Kim, if it helps . . . every time I look at something I have written or created, I see something else that needs to be changed. It isn’t personal, it’s just part of the process. Guy doesn’t sound fun to work with (for example, you shouldn’t be “on call” for trivial matters when you’re on vacation), but one thing you know is that he values your job skills. Now, he may need to show it in more practical ways, but that’s a different issue!

  6. For years, as a planner, husband was developing and revising and then revising again and again as different bosses or clients came up with new necessary options. As Cheryl mentioned, just part of the process and clearly he does value you or you would not be there.
