So here is my big prayer request (Thank you for praying for my sibling by the way. She is doing much better. Pray that she’ll take it easy, though.). The email I got was from one of my former teammates, asking me to seriously consider returning to Gambia to help out in the clinic. It hasn’t escaped my notice that if that series of unfortunate events with my tests and transcripts had not happened, I wouldn’t be able to consider this request – almost as if God was preparing the way. However, I do want to be sure. So, I ask that you would pray with me. My health is obviously something of a concern – so pray about that too. I’ve booked an appointment with my doctor to discuss it, though that won’t be until next month. Meanwhile, pray. Thank you.
As much as it pains me to say this, mostly because other people constantly say it to me when I don’t get what I want when I want it and how I want it….
God never shuts a door that He doesn’t open a window. Praying.
Thank You that we can trust You to give us guidance in decision making. Thank You for decisions that need making. Thank You for opportunities that open up for Your children to engsge in Your Kingdom building work. Please help Roscuro during her time of decision. I ask that You will give her full and clear health information so any obstacles will be as clear as possible and remedies can be found.
Please make the path straight for her as to whichever way she is to go. Thank You for however You choose to show her Your plan for a good future.
Lord, please continue in healing Idaho Mike. I pray for pains to settle down and strength to return. Please relieve sadness over putting down the dogs. I ask that each child will thrive and feel themselves to be a needed part of the Nest. I pray for those learning skills to gain quick understanding of new habits. Keep them all safe. Thank You for Mumsee’s great sense of humor.
I ask Your continued blessings upon 6 Arrows as she prepares piano music lessons. Give her balance between talk and serious study/practice. May her student catch on quickly.
Thank You for continuing in comfort of AJ’s family. May all go well as they have to take care of business.
Bless all the other people on the blog, too. We all have needs for this day. Bless our churches with Your felt presence tomorrow. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

Our worship pastor has his diagnosis finally. This is what his wife put on Facebook: “Short update on Craig. He has been diagnosed with plasmacytoma…cancer. We will have our first appointment at the cancer centre on Thursday. We have felt your prayers and are doing well most of the time. Thanks. God is good, all the time.”
Praying for Roscuro and big decisions. And Mike and his pain.
You remember the friend-extended family member who killed herself in February leaving behind a husband and 5 children? Her oldest was in another city living with his father. He had been giving her fits. His father and stepmother were in the Caribbean for Easter. He killed himself Easter Sunday. His two biological siblings and his grandmother and aunt and uncle and other extended family here found out yesterday!
I am without words. My sympathy lies with the grandmother. She has buried two husbands, a daughter, and now will have to go through it with a grandson. Lord, give her strength.
Thank you for your prayer, Janice. I do want to be a good steward of the time and financial investment my students’ parents put in to provide access to piano lessons for their children. And I desire to effectively guide the students in working to the best of their abilities. Your prayers on that mean so much.
If you are on FB you can see the post I shared from someone else about the mother and son. I can’t say “I can’t believe it”. I can. I think the son probably needed a LOT of help and counceling after his mother killed herself. I don’t know that he got it. My opinion of his father is skewed. I can’t make a comment there. It would be unfair. Please pray for the remaining brother and sister as they learn to live in a new reality. There are those of us who want to put them in a room and keep them safe.
Please pray for a couple, Jennifer & Joe, who lost their only child this morning. The daughter, Grace, who would have been 17 in May, was autistic, non-verbal, & had various health issues (including Moebius Syndrome, which was the least of her problems), but I think her passing was not quite expected. Horribly sad.
I am praying for Jennifer and Joe, Karen, and also for the former WMB people you mention.
Thank you for the prayers, all, per my 6:48 request. In light of that, I will need to step away from the online world for some time to address the marriage and family issues behind that admittedly cryptic request.

So sad for all those remaining, Kim. May that curse be broken in this family. 😦

This seems so small compared to everything mentioned on this thread, but our family could use prayers today. Thank you.

I don’t think God cares who needs prayer most and whose worries are more or less than anyone else’s.
Praying for you too.

Two items to share about former WMB folks:
1.) Rejoicing with EYG (Evelyn), who became a grandmother very recently. Her daughter & SIL had a baby girl they named Willow.
2.) Please pray for Matt Yoder, who is in the hospital battling sepsis.
