🙂 Leaders in Training retreat this weekend at my work for Grades 8 – 12. They’re playing a full sized version of Hungry, Hungry Hippo this morning on carts with small garbage pails to grab the balls. I’m hoping to stop by to see that
🙂 Ordering the rest of my base cabinets for one side of the kitchen today – should be here by next weekend!
😦 Still so very cold out, but 🙂 should start warming up later today
😦 I am doing my income taxes with Turbotax. I have almost everything completed.
Except I don’t have Elvera’s SS form 1099-R. Everyone else I questioned has his.
😦 last night, during a break in the play, I was talking to a fellow Lion who does taxes professionally. I mentioned to him that I called SS to request a duplicate 1099-R. I mentioned that I was on hold for 50 minutes. He said, “That’s nothing, I was on hold with IRS for an hour and a half.” There is, during the wait, some inharmonic music and a man’s voice saying someone will be with me shortly.
🙂 went to a Sunday school party last night. As I was leaving I went up to a gal to tell her how gorgeous her handmade, quilted bag was. She took everything out of it and gave it to me!! 🙂
🙂 Painters finished painting the entire inside of my home in 2 days. They got it done so fast that they gave me an 800 dollar discount! You can’t know how special that was as I was using the last of my savings to do the work. 🙂
🙂 The property managers called to tell me about the bill and I asked about a renter that we had agreed on. She said, ‘oh, he already came in and paid the deposit” Oh so wonderful to have the house rented. She will call him on Monday to tell him it is ready for occupancy.
Now I am headed back to my friends to crawl into the attic to get a couple more boxes to store at my house while it is still empty. Oh, don’t like crawling into attics 😦
Then off to inspect the painting.
🙂 Every Sunday morning, Elvera comes in with whatever she plans to wear. She always asks, “Is this OK”. It always is. “You’ll be the prettiest one in Adult Four”
🙂 It’s (finally) starting to rain after the weather forecasters teased us for the past two days about how some fast-moving storm from the Pacific Northwest was going to dump lots of rain on us.
It’s turned into only “showers” today and tomorrow, but it does look like it hit our mountain areas much harder and left some new snow, about 18 inches on the higher peaks.

🙂 Everyone is home safe after 😦 we spent four whole days in the hospital this week, for two different family members.
😦 I had only one day to get editing done, between four hospital days and one day of exhausted recovery.
🙂 or 😦 I didn’t have to cook at all . . . but a week of hospital food and fast food isn’t anything to write home about.
