Good morning. We’re having Becca’s tenth birthday party this afternoon. Her actual birthday is March 3, but this was our only free weekend. It’ll be her first slumber party. Please pray the girls get along and that I have patience with it all. We only invited six, and two became ill yesterday, so it’ll be a small group. The theme is “a spa party.” We’ll be doing the girls nails, makeup and hair with the help of L. and one of her friends. Plus, we heated the pool so they can swim.
Thank You for birthdays and the way we have markers through the years to help us adjust to the new phases of life. Thank You for parents who make the effort to have fun activities planned for children’s birthdays. I pray specifically for Annms and those working with her to make a special event for Becca and her friends. Please help it all to flow smoothly, according to a general schedule of activities that is flexible so that it suits the enjoyment and moods of the group. I pray for all the party foods and supplies to be excellent in quality. I pray for the Holy Spirit to be included in the festivities so that thoughts and actions of all the girls are pleasing in Your sight. Thank You for this precious family and the plans You have for blessing them. In Jesus’ name, Amen
I watched something on TV last night that caused me to have a bad dream about the Nest so I woke up this morning at 3 and prayed until 4 when I finally fell back to sleep.
Beyond that my morning has started off with a pity party for myself in realizing just what a $10,000 pay cut is going to look like. I now have a guaranteed base plus the possibility of commissions, but I am back to being an independent contractor so I will have to be disciplined to put away money for taxes. In addition to this I have just added a $318 per month health insurance bill on me. A little overwhelming, so say the least.

Are you doing spa like food? Lemon or cucumbers in the pitchers of water? Finger sandwiches (even if they are peanut butter and jelly)? Fruit? Soft music? Candles?
Forrest is throwing up a lot tonight. Please pray he gets over this quickly. (Emily can’t miss tomorrow’s all-day class, so Chrissy & I will be babysitting him whether he’s better or not.)
Very upsetting info arrived to my ears today, concerning the newly released seventeen year old. Every rule we gave her has been broken. She may well be recalled. Wisdom, please. Thanks.
