¹The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
prayer for wisdom with this cold. My daughter is having a birthday lunch for me, but I am thinking that we should cancel. She has invited my sister and my stepmom and perhaps some friends, all of whom would greatly suffer if I gave them this cold. sister had chemo most of last year, etc.
Thanks for the prayer. I feel somewhat vindicated about certain issues. I managed to act as I should, when every fiber of my being was rebelling. God’s goodness overwhelms me.
Again and again You provide for our needs, sometimes even before we ask! Thank You for the good reports of Your answered prayers. Thank You for letting my friends get their kittens. They have been so sad after there older cats both died. You1 are working in their lives overtly so they know of Your love. Thank You for the wisdom You give to all my friends here. Please bless the weekend birthday “girls” with special delights.
Father God, I pray for the parents here who so badly want to see their children or their parents or siblings saved. Help them to fully trust in You over the situations of unsaved family members. You do everything in Your own timing and ways. Please help the parents to know how to pray so they can release their great concerns to You. I pray Your great protective love over each family member who is unsaved. Keep them walking along Your paths of righteousness even before they realize it is You they are walking with. I trust in You to save for eternity all the ones brought up to You in prayer.
I ask, Father God, for blessings for the establishment of a new life group at my church. Please may it at all times be glorifying to You as it brings believers and seekers closer to You. You know best what is needed so I look to You for supply.
Some things were said Friday night and yesterday that have caused me a great deal of emotional pain. I am building up resentment. I don’t know what to do or how to even begin fixing it.
Mumsee is right. You may be taking things personal that weren’t meant to be that way.
Sometimes innocent, but thoughtless, remarks can cause unnecessary trouble.
If the people who cause this mean something to you, you need to get it out.
If they aren’t important to you, ignore it. It doesn’t mean anything.
This wounded me because it was about my Girl. I know she isn’t perfect. I don’t need anyone pointing it out. I KNOW. I need to be able to discuss it not be attacked. At what point do I stand up and fight back? At what cost?
Difficult questions, Kim. We will often let things go by when they are directed at us—not so when it is our most precious children. Prayer is the place to go first, of course. Both for wisdom and to bring both the person and issue before the Lord. Remember—He is the Lord who sees, knows and cares for you. Keep taking it back to Him as much as is needed.
Praying for wisdom for you to know when to speak, what to say, how to say it, when to say it and/or when to remain silent. I have learned there are people who are not worth my effort to try to enlighten them. Some will never see things your way. Some will always assign blame or bad motives. I let that be their problem. I realize that much of my need to justify myself is hurt pride and that is MY problem. They have their own problems, sin or ignorance. That is something to pray about for them.
John & Renee are dear friends of ours, & we go to the same church. On Friday evening, John was cutting some wood in his backyard with a circular saw (because of the odd shape of one of the pieces). Something went wrong, & John ended up with a gash in his upper leg that went through to the bone, needing an ambulance, & then emergency surgery . A doctor told Renee that he had never seen a wound like that on a still-living person.
John said that even as he awaited the ambulance, bleeding profusely, he knew that God was with him, & that he was going to be okay.
The gash stopped one-quarter inch from his femoral artery. If it had cut the artery, he would have bled out & died.
Renee & John are praising God for sparing John’s life, & asking prayer for a full healing in his leg. Lee & I are so thankful that our dear friend is alive, & will be okay eventually.
Second son, the F15 Navigator, had a circular saw incident. He thought he had a better plan so blocked the guard and tried to reverse the angle. Ended up driving himself to the ER with a smashed face when the board came back and whacked him. Those things require close attention. I don’t use them.
I am asking for prayer, again. I am holding to the promise that when I am weakest, His strength is greatest.

Do not let bitterness take root, you will regret it and you know it. Not everything can be fixed but all can be foregiven.

Kim, like a baby, if you nurse a resentment or grudge, it will grow and soon take over.

This is both a praise & a prayer request:
