Prayer Requests 1-12-15

Does anyone have something they’d like to share?

Psalm 29

¹Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

10 The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.

11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

  1. Not feeling the greatest today. I could only eat about 1/4 the amount of breakfast I normally have, and then felt sick afterwards.

Some friends at church also convinced me yesterday I should not delay any longer in going to see my doctor. (I wasn’t sick yesterday — this is just about long-term issues.) Next month it’ll be three years since I’ve been seen, so it’s probably about time I get over my stubbornness and just go in for a check-up.

  2. When I went in recently, it had been 2 years since I’d had a check up. And my doctor gave me a hard time about the “long” absence. Nags.

  3. Praying you feel better and get an “all clear” when all’s said and done. Sometimes staying away from the doctor encourages our minds to run away with all sorts of awful imaginings about what *could* maybe possibly be wrong with us. 🙂 If you’re like I am, anyway.

  4. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the joys we can expect to be in this day. Help us to always wait expectantly for a show of Your goodness instead of looking down in the gloomies. But if we must look at the gloomies, help us to see Your abiding presence even there with us. You never leave us alone. Thank You!

Please bless 6 Arrows and others like myself who are “under the weather.” You know the ailments of each person on this blog. Some are long and on-going ailments and other for 24 or 48 hours. My cold is dragging on for several weeks now. Help us each to pursue good health and live up to being the Temple for the Holy Spirit. Thank You for visions of improving health and for leading us onward to our goals without hindrances. Please make straight our paths for physical improvement so we have strength to be Your hands and feet in this world.

Lord, thank You for safe travels for all our young who have been going back to schools or work after the holidays. Please help Michelle ‘ s daughter to feel Your presence helping her realize how You want her to spend this gift of free time. Give her wisdom and a positive outlook toward her future.

Abba, You know the needs, some many years in the asking, of people on this blog. Please breakthrough barriers that are keeping unsaved loved ones from salvation through Jesus. Please meet then over and over until they can resist no more. In the name of Jesus, and through His heart of love, Amen

  5. Just got an email that went out to everyone in Ukarumpa saying that school will not be starting this week due to a teacher leaving. Please pray for wisdom as the school board meets today and considers options. I believe that this only involves the Primary school and they are planning to begin next week.

  6. I feel better this afternoon. Thanks for all the prayers. Hope you get to feeling better, too, Janice.

I called and made an appointment for a checkup then. Surprised to learn that my doctor’s first opening isn’t until late April. I’ve never had that long a wait before with him — I was expecting maybe 6-8 weeks at the most. I suppose they leave open plenty of room for people with acute illnesses that need more immediate attention, and the rest of us with just plain checkups are maybe “competing” for fewer slots? Just a guess. My doctor is very pleasant, easygoing and skilled, too, one of the most likable medical professionals I’ve ever met, so I’m sure he’s probably in demand.

No matter with the delay. It’s been three years since I’ve seen him, I can wait another three months.
