Prayer also for wisdom as we decide what to do about husband’s knees. Surgery or not? Basically he has no cartiledge left so is in constant pain and risk of knees going off to the side. If so, where? I could do it on the dining room table but I believe he will opt to pass on that. But we have surgeons in Lewiston, Spokane, Boise. All quite capable. So, things to decide, wisdom as to the right course of action. Thanks for praying for us.
The closest rehab would be here at the house. I could replace them with turkey knees or goat knees or even deer knees. I could leave the hooves and he could have hind’s feet on high places, but I suspect it would not be the best solution. So, I will hear more when he gets home.
Mumsee, my dad suffered from bad knees for years. He had 3 orthroscopic knee surgeries before he had bilateral knee replacement. One of his doctors told him that man had yet to invent a knee as good as the one God invented and to put replacement off for as long as he could. When he finally had knee replacement, the doctor told him to do both at the same time because if you do one at a time you blow out the other when you are in rehab. Just my 2 cents and experience. I know you guys will prayerfully make the right decision.
My father-in-law was admitted to the hospital today. My husband wouldn’t want me going into a lot of details, I’m pretty sure, but things aren’t going too well. Health problems to be sure, and lately much confusion and agitation, as well. He is nearly 86 years old, and declined quite a bit in the last year.
I’m afraid things are getting close to the end. Please pray for my FIL, MIL (who just retired), and for hubby and his siblings, too, as they make decisions about their dad’s care. Thank you.
Prayer for husband and children as they drive home today. Thanks.
