And it’s a Thursday, so don’t forget the folks in PNG.
Anyone else have something?
Psalm 19
¹The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Thanks a million times over for the prayers! They are sustaining me. Still haven’t found the critical papers. Tempers are frayed. Pray I sin against no one and bring glory to God.
My dad was given an airplane model by all of us recently. He was in the process of building it with my niece’s husband. Niece’s husband, son and brother came and worked on it yesterday for hours. I know it was such a comfort for my mom. You just never know what will bring comfort.
In Virginia, I used to open every SS lesson with the words ,of v. 14. except is substituted “our” for “my”..
I was once listening to an interview of the sports announcer, Red Barber. He said that he prayed that prayer before going on the air for each event. I thought: “Every preacher and teacher should do that.”
Those words are inscribed on the ink pen set they guys gave me when I left.
Kathaleena – The Christmas before my dad died (three days later), Mom had given him a set of CDs called Lifetime of Romance, with mostly easy-listening love songs from the ’50s, ’60s, & ’70s. He never got to listen to them, & Mom gave them to me. I think she liked knowing that I enjoyed listening to them.
Verse 1 is what I experienced today and sent AJ a picture of.
I do pray for us all to have a blessed 2015 and for me to get my phone to work better or else another way to feel confident in posting prayers again. It has been so frustrating to worry that prayers will be garbled or to write one out and have it dropped.
I think the world of all of you and expect to meet you all in heaven one day if not before!
Janice – Do you not have a computer or laptop? I can’t imagine trying to read or post on those phones. (I don’t have one yet, but Lee wants to get me one sometime this year. Then I’ll have to come kicking & screaming the rest of the way into the 21st century.)
Some close disasters have been nipped in the bud. I am sure that is the answer to prayer. Please keep praying everyone will keep working things out together in a respectful and loving way.
Verse fourteen is a great prayer for the new year
