  1. Lesson went well, thanks for asking. It was the student who was sick last week, so it’s been two weeks since I’ve seen him. He memorized all his music. 😉

Well, time to go do some non-screen activities to close out the day. Our Thursday media-fast day is on again tomorrow, and it’s a little iffy whether I’ll be on here the three days after that, too.

    See you Monday?

    Night-night. 😉

  3. Wow! What was that? I was just quietly walking along, thought I would stop by to see the secret room contingent when suddenly…wham! I was hit by something. Spun me around so fast I almost got dizzy.

  4. Thanks. Got a statement from my property manager. Looks like I am owing them some money, but it is not very clear as some are charges that the last renter paid. I’d better figure it out.

  5. My son asked me about watching his kids while his wife goes to the east coast to be with her sister as she has her second child.
That was the week I was going to Florida to take a course.
I am thinking that I would prefer to have the kids here, they fly free, where I know my way around, not in Portland where I get lost.

  6. I hope that second child comes quickly. You ought to be very very very busy. But, it is possible that you can help them find good ways to use that energy.

  7. I used to do that. But now it is dark too long, it is not safe to take the dogs out in the dark. But it is getting light earlier so there is more time. I like to be back in time for the children waking at seven. I miss the energy I get from walking.

  9. I see the room has moved again. Sorry, Mumsee, you can’t lock me out. If I remember correctly, I helped you get this whole secret room thing going last year.

And this post should be (1+2)*3=9, or number 1239.

  10. Speaking of how this got started, weren’t we talking about how cold it was in an LA dog park at night? And now the temps here are much colder, with the chance of snow. Donna wouldn’t take her dogs out in the snow, would she?

    Like

  11. but the dog park is heating up. Didn’t she say that they got up to 85? the dog park may be where we all need to go to warm up.
Though it has also been quite warm here, so no complaints.

  12. Looks like this page is going farther down the list of top posts & pages, so I thought I would click on it.

I see we’ve returned to the dog park discussion. If we had any dog parks around here (I don’t think we do, anyway), it would be snowing on the dogs even as we speak.

  13. My dogs are enjoying beautiful weather outside. I had a hard time getting myself up and moving today, it was so nice out. I sat down on the deck for dinner and then tipped my chair back to soak up some sun. I kept telling myself it was a great day for doing something but I would reply that I was doing something.

  15. The sunshine is lovely today. Just blessed by listening to a video that Tychicus posted on today’s political thread. Listening to the prime minister of France saying that anti-Semitism is unacceptable and that attacks on Jews are attacks on France.

  16. A busy day today. Lots of chipping, picking up sticks and rocks in the goat pasture. We throw them sticks so they can have browse in the winter but have to pick them up in the spring so my mower can mow what the goats can’t keep up with. Also, the rocks that the little folk stand in the driveway and throw into the pasture. I tell them not to but they have selective hearing. They spend enough springs picking rocks, perhaps they will learn. The boys built a new cover for the sandbox husband built for the little folk four years ago. It is a nice big box but the cat and turkeys figured out how to get under the last lid. A beautiful productive spring day.

  17. I would love it if spring would show up here. We’re in the single digits above zero now, but below zero with wind chill. By tomorrow night it’ll be about -10° air temperature, and around -25° including wind chill.

I’ve been decluttering the master bedroom a little at a time over the last several days, and today I made more progress. Threw out a bunch of old magazines I had thought I would eventually get to, but after skimming most of them and cutting out a few articles I really want to read, I decided I didn’t need to hang onto the rest.

I still have several back issues of World, and typically find quite a few articles in each issue, that I want to read, so I didn’t toss any of those. But my overall pile of magazines is now cut by probably two-thirds or three-fourths of what I had last week, so that’s a definite improvement.

  18. And I had a nice few hours away from home today. Getting my taxes done, picking up a few groceries, and going over to my best friend’s house for a while to talk with her. We had a great talk, and you know you’ve got a wonderful friend when you show up unannounced (I don’t ordinarily do that) and you get a welcome hug (and a goodbye hug, too). 😉

  19. Morning all. Another sunny day here. I just got a bunch of emails with attachments that I have to figure out to renew my visa for PNG. It is supposed to be simpler now, but we will see. It is quite simple if you are in country, but why are there so many attachments????

    Like

  20. I went across the parking lot to church today to print the visa things. So many forms it is slightly mind boggling. I did this ten years ago and never wanted to do it again. It is easier now, but nothing like doing it in country where all I do is sign the form that our office gets ready.

I remember, I’m sure none of you do, that we had a game going on the World Mag site in which you took a word and changed one letter in it to make another word. We kept that going for about 2000 words. Quite a challenge. I forgot who all was in it.
I likely won’t come here again.

It was -12°F this morning when I left for Bible study. It is +10°F now, with sun and wind. Probably feels about 0° with the wind chill included. We’ll probably hit the high for today in the next hour to two, so I’ll head outside with the children about then so we can get some sun and fresh air that isn’t too cold.

Time now to get my video of the week selected and emailed to my piano families…

Six Arrows, Jo and I have not met as of yet…I am hoping that one day when she flies into this lovely state and has some time, we will be able to meet….I also hope to be able to meet Cheryl someday when I fly back east…we were going to try last year, but there was this pesky ice storm that was standing in my way!

  49. Of course, the fun of Spring is that when I prepared to go walk the dogs, I pulled on an extra jacket with my sweatshirt and longsleeve shirt and chore coat. I added my husband’s old wind pants and a rabbit fur hat. I was dressed appropriately with wind blowing and temps hovering in the single digits. We only stayed out for about twenty minutes due to Barney being sort of indoorish though not really.
