¹Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
My daughter’s interview is tomorrow and she’s very nervous; there’s a lot riding on this potential job for her. She’s just marvelous and the whole family is confident once the hiring manager meets her it’s a slam dunk. But she’s only 22 and has never gone through this process before. Please pray. Thanks.
My SIL signs papers for a substitute teaching job for the next semester. He will get his Masters in School Counseling this month. He will pursue a job in that field for next year. We are grateful he found a job with benefits for the last half of the year.
Our granddaughter is still sick. Her mom had to force some medicine on her today. What an unpleasant task that always is. It is such a picture, though, of why God sometimes has us go through bad things. Granddaughter just does not understand what is best for her. She would rather suffer the fever and/or feel miserable. Same with us way too often.
My Mom was diagnosed with gout in today. It caused her right index finger to swell so much that the doctors thought it was a terrible infection. So, they sedated her and gave her a local anesthesia, but when they opened it up, they discovered it was not an infection, but gout. Please pray for her.
Thanks for the thoughts anyway, Janice. I’m sure God heard your heart cries, even though your phone was uncooperative. I do so appreciate your eloquent prayers…
