Another week, another chance to prove yourself in predicting ten college football games. No pillow fight this week, and the tie breaker is in honor of Ricky and his son TRW actually being at the game. So here they are.

I will be attending the UCLA-Cal football game–my first football game in probably 15 years!
Unfortunately, I’m sitting with Cal fans in the Cal section, so I’ll be doing a surreptitious 8-clap and cheering for the band in my heart.

Peter…I was sure that Mumsee beat me…I think you gave me credit for Georgia…I had changed to Mizzou. That’s why I didn’t send you a tiebreaker ( it would have been MTSU – UAB)

So here goes.
1. BSU – Because.
2. Alabama – Don’t like Texas.
3. KSU – Because I think they are better than the Sooners (and their mascot is a Wildcat, and there colors are purple and white, just like my alma mater and high school)
4. FSU – the Irish are pverrated and playing on the road.
5. Mizzou – after that Georgia debacle, they need to win a big game.
6. Army – Kent State hasn’t won a game yet.
7. UCLA – No reason.
8. Minnesota – This is not Purdue’s year
9. So Car – For Chas
10 TB- Baylor 42 – 21 Though I usually go against a Texas team, Baylor is an exception. (And the Mountaineers won’t win this one.)

Yes, I thought she won as well, what with the permission to switch horses mid race. Who would have thought you could back track so quick….But there you have it….

Another rough week in college football. Another two or so major upsets, like Baylor and Oklahoma. Army also lost to previously non-winning Kent State, so I guess that was an upset. No one got that one right since we all went with Army. Only two of us predicted WVU upsetting Baylor- IBNO and TRW. Only two had KSU upsetting OkU- myself and Tychicus. There are two games still going on, and only one of them is not decided. At the half, Notre Dame is up 17-10 over FSU. Mizzou is in the 4th quarter against Florida, but with the score at 42-7 Mizzou, we can safely say Mizzou won that one.
So guess what? I win this week. With the ND game undecided, I have 7 correct and TRW has 6. Since we both have the same guesses on the last two games, there is no reason to wait. At best he’ll have 7 and I’ll have 8. Either way, I’ll have one more game than he does. I’ll ask the rest of you to please double check my results so no one thinks I’ve rigged it.

Not surprising. Who would think you rigged it? Bizarre. So, they actually play these games? Who would have thought. Did Boise go?

Yes, Mumsee, they play the games and Boise won their’s.

Final results are now in (yeah, I’m up late. I was waiting for the ND-FSU game to end, and for D3 to get home from work.)
Boise St 31- Fresno St 27
Alabama 59- Texas A&M 0 (embarrassing to lose at home like that. Just ask a Mizzou fan.)
Kansas St. 31- Oklahoma 30 (close one!)
Florida St 31- Notre Dame 27 (looks familiar)
Mizzou 42- Florida 13 (if only Mizzou played that well last week)
Kent St 39- Army 17
UCLA 36- Cal 34 (Has Michelle recovered from that nail biter?)
Minnesota 39- Purdue 38 (another close one)
South Carolina 41- Furman 28 (at least Chas has one alma mater winning)
Tie Breaker: WVU 41 – Baylor 27
Our results:
I had 8 correct.
TRW had 7
Janice, kbells and Tychicus had 6
AJ, IBNO and Chas had 5
Ricky 4
Mumsee 2
AJ- I’ll have the next one to you Monday so you can post it before your trip.

You can get five by chance.
Though sometimes I vote with my heart, not my head.
Like-I’m going to pick Gamecocks against Auburn Tigers next time.
But I’m not putting money on it.
