Prayer Requests 10-11-14

Anyone have a request or praise they’d like to share?

Psalm 103

¹Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;

18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

22 Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.

  1. Praise: Husband is home and doing well with his joints. He is off with the boys to the men’s prayer breakfast and then off to the big city for some shopping. I don’t have to be hypervigilant with the little folk for a few hours!

    We allowed some of the older ones to attend the Homecoming dance for an hour. The first time we have ever allowed such a thing. They were happy to be picked up before the hour. It was not what they had expected. Their friends were acting in bizarre ways and they were done.

    We did not allow the nearly eighteen year old girl to attend as we watched her volleyball game and she did not have her mouthguard in. Four years of braces require a mouth guard. If she were paying for it, i would not hold her to it.

  2. I’d appreciate prayers for our financial and jobs situations. My husband had an opportunity to earn some extra money effective November 1, but, due to circumstances beyond his control, that has been postponed until spring.

    I don’t have any piano students yet, but I became aware of two prospects this week — first, when I found a note I had made two years ago about a family with two children who were inquiring about lessons. I had told them I wasn’t teaching at that time, but that I would put them on a list for future reference if I resumed teaching piano. I couldn’t find that list, however, until it turned up this week. I called them, but they have found another teacher, with whom they are doing well, which is nice to know from a musical perspective, but, of course, doesn’t help me.

    The other possibility is with a family in our church whose son’s piano teacher quit about a year ago, and they weren’t able to find another teacher. I talked with the boy’s mom today, and she would like to have him get back into piano, but said she will ask him. Please pray that this lead will pan out for us. It is getting very hard to make ends meet anymore, and my husband will have to look for additional employment if I don’t get some students soon. He hardly sees our children now as it is. 😦

  3. I would appreciate prayer for my $2500.00 and a whole lot of time when he cannot work in his field. They are not happy and pursuing it further. This is just one of a lot of problems they have had lately, so they would appreciate prayer for a good resolution. Also, please pray they will handle it as God would want them to.

  4. Kathaleena – Is something missing from what you wrote? Is this for “Designer Girl” & her hubby? Prayers for a quick & favorable resolution to whatever the problem is, & that they would trust God & handle it according to His leading.

  5. Prayers requested for safe travels for our family today, especially 2nd Arrow. She worked overnight and is headed here (about a 3-hour drive), where she will then take a nap for a couple hours, then go with us as we travel out of state to my in-laws’ 60th anniversary celebration.

    Thanks.

  6. I am home sick. Apparently caught Donna’s cold while she was browsing Idaho real estate. Husband is off with all of the children. Prayer for me for rest and him for survival. Thanks.
