Pat Buchanan’s latest article makes a great point. Russia has been fighting ISIL for three years. The US was for it before it was against it.

The other countries (Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Iran) at least know which side they are on. The US is completely clueless.

Which is more embarrassing? Living in a country that is the world’s leading proponent of abortion, pornography and perversion or living in a country whose foreign policy has made it the laughingstock of the entire world?

  2. Ricky, one problem is that we think we have friends over there.
The other problem is that most of the evil we have is promulgated by the courts or some agency.
    And the media, of course.
Usually in the name of fairness or civil rights.

  3. Chas, You are right. I know abortion and perversion have been imposed upon the South by federal courts. The gangrene has probably spread too far, but I would like to live under laws adopted solely by the Texas or South Carolina legislatures.

  4. Sorry if that link to the Boko Haram article at World doesn’t give you the whole text. I think there is some way for World members (which I am) to share full articles with non-members, but I don’t know how to do that. Any World members here know how?

I tried googling it, too, and clicking on the link, but it still does not provide access to anything but the first paragraph and the readers’ comments.

  5. Seems like if a World member shares an article it should provide access, not sure if that’s the way it’s *supposed* to work or not though. … Pay walls are irritating to me. But, on the other hand, writers & publications also should be paid for what they provide.

It’s just that we’re so used to getting everything for free now online.

  6. I think that the member sharing the article has to be signed in, & then can share it. Sometimes I’ll read a World article that someone has shared, & it says “Welcome Guest” at the top right corner. If I tried to share the article without signing in, it wouldn’t work.

  7. That’s all I thought it took, too, Karen, but I was signed in when I posted the link, so I thought it would work. But when I click on the link now (while I’m not signed in), it says “Welcome, guest”, and I don’t get the full article unless I then log in.

It seems to me Roscuro has posted things here before from World that I was able to read in their entirety while not actually signed in there. Maybe she can tell us how she did it, if she sees this. I don’t think she’s been around today, though.
