The sun is pretty shiny here in Connecticut, but we’re expecting thunderstorms later today. I like thunderstorms. 🙂
😦 Been behind on reading comments here for a bit, again. And I’m babysitting all day today, so I don’t know when I’ll catch up, but I hope it will be later this evening. I have some news to catch you all up on.

🙂 Great first week at my new camp job. The first 2 days were tiring, but I left there yesterday only slightly tired, but more happy and energetic.

🙂 The zucchini salsa I made last week is so very good.
🙂 😦 Today I have to make more salsa, process more beets, do laundry, mow the lawn, pick my watermelon (I only have 1), pick the last of the cucumbers and dig more potatoes. We’re supposed to have frost this week some time and after that I will have to dig out the carrots. Why am I on here, you ask? Procrastinating.
😦 Woke up with the classic ‘camp cold’ this morning. Ugh, not feeling so hot.
😦 Forrest has a new pattern developing. It used to be that he would usually sleep through his mother getting up & getting ready for work on Monday & Thursday mornings (when she leaves around 6a.m.) or for school on Saturday mornings (when she leaves a bit before 7), & sleep until 7:30 or 8. Lately, though, he is wide awake before she leaves, which means this Mimi has to be up & ready earlier than she’d like to be. Hoping this is a phase that passes quickly.
🙂 A long, but generally pleasant day taking care of Forrest today with Chrissy.
