Prayer Requests 8-25-14

Anyone have a request or praise they’d like to share today?

Psalm 56

¹Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.

2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.

3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

7 Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

10 In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.

11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

12 Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

  1. One of my babes left yesterday for Saudi Arabia with a work team on business. He’ll be home on Thursday!

    He’s a well experienced traveler, but . . . that’s a crazy part of the world.

    In other news to calm my fears, Adios got back from a missions trip to CAIRO yesterday, so obviously, some of these places aren’t as dangerous as I think they are. Right? 🙂

  3. Arabia is safe as long as you don’t take a Bible.
    Don’t wear a cross as an ornament. That sets them off.
    Our chaplain wasn’t allowed to wear a cross on his lapel.

  4. Heavenly Father,

    Thank You for another day in which we can bring glory to You in our various ways. You are always with us in our various trials and triumphs. The Holy Spirit indwells and helps us when we need comfort and wisdom.

    Today I lift up the offspring of Michele who is traveling to Saudi Arabia. Please, may the travels be smooth without any delays or hindrances from foreign regulations, etc. Please cut through red tape if any should try to tangle up this traveling group.

    Lord, I lift up Jo while she is asleep or at least redting. Please help her back to get well from what has caused the pain. May she thoroughly enjoy all her students this year.

    Please make a good situation for Mr. P as he has that cat scan and spinal tap. Please give the greatest skill to the test administrators and interpreters. May a quick solution be found to remedy his back pain.

    My husband has back pain now, too. It must be the season for it. Please ease his pain, too.

    I ask that You work out mortgage details for Kim so there sre no glitches and things are set up favorable according to the needs of Kim and Mr. P Thank You for giving provision of the home when needed.

    I praise You for AJ’s success with this blog. 2,000 posts that have brought glory to You!

    Please grant wisdom to DDonna’s friend, N, regarding surgery. I ask You to give her a surge of confidence in her ability to decide. Her confidence comes as a gift from You. May she fully trust in You for whichever path she takes ultimately leads her to You.

    Please bless Mumsee as her body goes through the pain and distress of shingles. Help her case to clear up quickly. Thank You Mike is there for her now. Give them a shower of blessings from Your special reserves. Please bless all the Nestlings in unique ways that speak directly into their hearts of Your love.

    Lord, you know the commitments I have to pray for Christian Library International and over the missionary that has lost faith. Please give supernatural blessing in each need. Please help me to ask the right people to the CLI dinner.
