But don’t forget those Christians in Iraq. Not only there, but everywhere in Islam now. It seems that Satan is beginning to work everywhere.
And the Bible says we are one body in Christ (Romans 12, & elsewhere).
If we are one body, how is it that part of my body is suffering somewhere and I don’t hurt?
I was going to ask for prayer but what Chas mentioned is much bigger. When you are done praying for them for a while, please pray for us. This is really hard.
You know you have our prayers Mumsee, no Spiritual need is bigger, or smaller, than any other. It’s all the same to God. I have heard people (usually a woman) say, “I know this isn’t big in the world, but I need……..” Every need counts.
That is why I asked, Chas, I know it matters to God. Thanks that it matters to you folks, as well. I am just having some really tough times right now. And it is not really the children that are the issue. Though their issues do come into play. It is my ability to deal with their issues. I need to love them with God’s love and I am struggling with that right now. Thanks.
We can’t see You like we can see all the problems that enter our lives through various sources. We know You are bigger than the mass of difficulties here on earth. When Peter walked on water, the whole big ocean could have swallowed him up, but Jesus did not let that happen. How important it is to keep our focus intently upon You. Please give us a prod when we are momentarily distracted and consider our problems just might be bigger than You care to bother with. Please make a good path for persecuted Christians worldwide to travel I Your constant companionship. Carry them through tortures, humiliations, temptations to turn in fellow Christians to authorities, and whatever else is used to trap and destroy their faith in Jesus. Bless those who remain faithful no matter what. Put a joyful song in their hearts and may they recognize Your eternal love supreme.

I just heard too huge booms, Lord. We live in such times to always be alert to terrorism. I pray for safety during these difficult times. But most of all, I thank You for assurance of Your presence with us.
Lord, please meet the needs at the Nest. You are aware of all. Do not let the evil one have control. Keep love, safety, and faith strong during trying times.
Bless Kim as she continues to look for a good new home. May she experience Your peace and be glad that You give her shelter. I think her work in real estate may give her a level of knowledge of housing that makes this forced move seem extra hurtful in some way. Please ease her hurting and if possible match that hurt with joy in her new home.
The Iraq situation is dire. I’m hopeful to see we are at least now trying to do *something* to intervene, whether it will help much or not, I don’t know. 😦
And I know we’re all weary and suspect of overseas military involvement.
But these are the kinds of situations — where Christian and other minority faith families are being murdered in large numbers and children beheaded by an absolutely ruthless and brutal horde bent on literal genocide — that I believe still warrant our involvement on the side of justice and protection for those being persecuted.
The news coming out of that country has been horrific for weeks now.
And I pray also for protection of Americans, both military and civilian (here and especially abroad), who may be in harm’s way as there has been concern that our intervention in this situation could result in a more direct retribution against the U.S.
Praying for all these needs, including our brothers & sisters in Christ in those dangerous, horrible situations.
Thanks for the reminder, Chas that all our needs matter to God. Last night, as I was about to cry out to God in prayer for my husband, I thought of what is happening to those in the grips of the IS & other fanatics, & thought that maybe what is happening with Lee is not important enough to get God’s attention, that He has more important things to do. But I quickly realized that that is not so, that our needs are important to Him.
So grateful that our Heavenly Father cares about us as He does.
Six Arrows, I can soooo understand. I let my four little folk go to the beach with the neighbor, which was a lot of fun for them, but I am paying big time today. Three autism spectrum children does that, and then throw in disruptive disorder, oppositional, etc etc etc….
Thanks, Mumsee. Yeah, different people, a change in the routine, autism. Makes for quite a mix sometimes. And I can’t imagine dealing with that and more besides for an extended period by oneself. Praying for you…
