Prayer Requests 8-1-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share today?

And it’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the kids.

Psalm 33

¹Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

  1. I love this psalm. Verses 2 and 3 especially speak to me as a musician and music teacher. What a privilege it is to praise God through music! To honor God by skillfully using the gifts He has given us.

A request: Hubby and the two oldest daughters at home are traveling to help 2nd Arrow move today. They’ll have a three-hour journey there, more time and miles moving her to a suburb of the city where she currently lives, and then the journey back, all in the same day. Prayers for their safety are appreciated. Thank you.

  2. Praying, 6 arrows.

Tim is doing slightly better again today. We will make the hour drive to my office to laser him again today. Hopefully, we will be able to settle things down even more.

  3. Heavenly Father,

It’s another cool for August day in Atlanta. Thank You for relief from the heat and humidity. Thank You that the weather here is making a good break for W. from the Texas heat.

I ask Your traveling and moving mercies to be experienced by those in 6 Arrows family who are busy doing those activities today. Keep them safe, help them to pack efficiently and securely so there is no damage to furniture or fragile items. Give them a good team and “can do” working attitude.

I pray continuing blessings to be upon Tim as he progresses along Your path for his healing. Thank You for the relief he has felt to this point.

Please help Mumsee and all as they wait for Mike to be finished in Canada. Give them daily blessings so they feel Your comfort and presence.

Please bless Donna as she needs to feel more rested after later than usual nights of putting stories together under strenuous deadlines. Thank You for her writing skill and Christian worldview.

    In Jesus’ name, Amen

  4. Thank you, Kare and Janice.

Prayers for The Nest today, too. (Did AJ say “Mumsee, Mike, and the kids? Are we praying for the goats today, too?) 😛 (Sorry, couldn’t resist that remark.) 😉

  5. Feeling quite overwhelmed right now. I knew Tim did a lot of stuff around here, but didn’t realize how much of MY stuff he helped with.

  6. Amen on that one Kare. My other half does a lot more than half.

The kids are doing well though they were quite ill when they got into the new alfalfa hay. That is supposed to be saved for when the does are giving milk. Anyway, they are a bit resistant toward eating the old grass hay but that is okay, they are chubby enough it they want to starve them selves until it tastes good that is fine. There are still enough weeds in the pasture to keep them going.

  7. Thanks again. Feeling better.
On the job front, the poster for the position at the camp just came out. I think they wrote the qualifications based on the resume I had previously sent in 🙂 I am re-sending my resume with an updated letter that focuses a little more on what it seems like they are asking for – statement of faith, and a bit of a testimony.
Please pray for God’s leading as they decide who to hire. Thank you.
