Anyone have a request or praise to share with us today?
Psalm 5
¹Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
Thank You for the new month full of warmth, growing crops, and delicious melons. I pray for a good harvest for all those who work in the agricultural fields. Please bless the harvesters who work long and hard out in the heat of the day as a part of bringing food to our tables. Bless them with supernatural ways of refreshment as they work. Cooling breezes and a light sprinkle will make them feel Your heavenly touch in their days.
Thank You, Lord, that Jo has an opportunity to go off site today. Please keep her and her traveling companions safe as they are venturing out on unstable roads. Please keep their vehicle steady in the lanes without sinking into deep areas too hard to recover from on their own. May they have a pleasant trip with only good surprises. No bad surprises for them, please.
Please continue to meet the needs of the Nest. Thank You for the blessings all the community receives from the occupations of the children who have learned diligence in their work from their masters, Mumsee and Mike. Please help any who have continuing issues and habits developed in the past bad circumstances of their earlier lives. Thank You for the wonderful setting and their new loving family situation including all the animals. Bless Jake with a long and admirable life of companionship with Mumsee.
Please help Kim as she continues to adjust daily to whatever happens to transpire in the hours. Help her as she makes decisions about her possessions. May she seek everlasting eternal treasures and not hold too tightly to things that have meant so much to her up to this point in time. Help her to feel joy in the freedom of letting go.
Lord, please help those involved in the accident on the Interstate this morning. I don’t know what happened but it did not look good. You know the details and needs. I call to You for help in trouble times for those who may be hurt or grieving and also for all those in the traffic delay that may have gotten into trouble for being late to work.
Just another thanks for praying for Hillary last week. The next shock was she GOT the visa on Saturday, which means they processed it immediately. That’s unheard of.
She’s now all set to go September 23, except she has to raise a lot more money–60% of her funding– before Christian Associates will sign off on her. So, that’s the next prayer request.
I lift up the request Michelle listed above for Hillary. These are hard days for missionaries and ministries seeking funding. Everyone is having to tighten up their spending and giving as basic necessities continue to increase in cost. I pray for more thought to be given by Christians as to what they can give up either in comfort or pleasure so they will be able to give more. Help Youir children to be doubly resourceful and to learn to not be wasteful in any manner. Through Your provision of our needed supplies for life, and through the ingenuity You have given us, help us all around the world to learn new ways to give to the needs of missionaries and ministries. Please bless us all so we may be a blessing to others. Please make a way of release of funds to flow to Hillary so that she can have the needed supply to get her to her calling. I also pray for Christian Library International that is growing and reaching many more people with Your good news. It needs a warehouse and office space donated to the ministry that will be large enough to house all the Bibles, books and other Christian resources that flow from donors through CLI to prison chaplains and from there to prisoners who are hungry for the bread of Christ. Lord, You know all the land, building and spaces in the area in and around Raleigh, NC. You know the ideal empty building that could supply this need right away. Please, Lord, for the sake of the children of the imprisoned whose lives will be so much better when their parents know, love and obey Jesus. Please make a way for this missionary and this ministry to see You at work this day on their needs. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen
