Prayer Requests 6-14-14

Anyone have a request or praise they’d like to share?

Psalm 141

¹Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

  1. A praise regarding my 82-year-old church friend Norma. She’s been going through several tests in the past couple weeks during which they discovered a mass in her liver and another between her kidney and spleen. But in meeting with the doctor (who has been consulting with other physicians, including an oncologist) yesterday, Norma was told that these masses were rather perfectly round while cancerous masses usually appear jagged and uneven.

So it looks like these could be benign.

But they still aren’t entirely sure what’s going on, so they want her to take a PET (?) scan next week which can more positively identify whether it’s malignant or not.

More to come, but this is potentially much better news (so far) than was anticipated.

  2. That is good news for your friend, Donna. I recently talked with an acquaintance who had a mass in his lung. It was a wait and see situation. After almost a year, the mass has gone down and caused no difficulties. I think we often have such things, but they go away. We can only pray that will be the situation with both these people.

My grandmother happened to be at a teaching hospital. She had some unique properties in her blood, and was being studied. It was one cancer that brought her to the hospital. When she died, an autopsy showed she actually had three different types of cancer in her body.

Our bodies are so amazingly designed!

  3. Please pray for a woman named Mary. She has stage 3 colo-rectal cancer. This is the second time she has had cancer. She is going to start treatment 5 days a week for the next 6 weeks, then they will do surgery.

  4. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for another Sunday to attend churchand worship with other believers. Thank You for the gifting of my pastor and others who accurately preach from Your word. Please bless all those in his family who are not able to be with him today. You know their individual needs.

Lord, thank You for good news from Medical testing. I do lift up Norma for more good news to confirm the appearance. Thank You for KKathleena’s grandmother’s ability to live as long as she did with three types of cancer.

Lord, I ask that You would give Kim’s Mary extra strength to go through her treatments. Please keep her body and immune system strong enough for eventual surgery. Please may there be a total eradication of all cancer cells from her body. I ask You for a supernatural innoculation against the return of cancer in her body in any shPe or form. Please may our joined prayers be accepted as worthy of receiving Your favor in her behalf and also for Norma. Also, I add my friend, Mary, who keeps going through chemo. Thank You for medical mercies that may not cure, but do control and extend life.

Abba, I ask You to bless all the dads on this site. May they each receive recognition of how much their children love them. If any of the dads have even the smallest splinter in a relationship sith their child I pray the splinter will be divinely removed by You. May the dads be fully respected and honored as strong Christian leaders of their familes. If any feel a lack of wisdom, may they ask of You for a good measure. Thank You for keeping each one healthy. Bless their relationships with their wives. May the bonds of love with their wives and sons and daughters grow stronger day by day. Thank You for the many answers to these prayers that I may never become aware of. You are ever so very good. May each of us follow Jesus more intentionally each day. In His name, Amen

  5. Heavenly Father,

Thank You again for the multitude of blessings this Sunday. You are the best Abba! Happy Father’s Day!

The calendar has already turned for Jo. It is a winding down school day. Please give her a burst of unexpected energy to finish strong. Please give her creativity at each turn of the clock from moment to moment as needed. Help the children to be calm even as they are excited by the end of the school year. I pray for happy and encouraging goodbyes for this school year. Please give Jo wisdom for each decision she has to make. You are her beloved Abba, and I know You give good gifts. Jo is highly devoted to You. I ask that You shower her with blessings today, tomorrow and for the whole summer on. Thank You for keeping her steady in Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  6. Amen!

Please pray for my friend Jenn, whom I’ve mentioned a few times before. She has such debilitating pain & health problems, which seem to just get worse. The latest problem is that her tailbone is protruding a lot. She needs surgery to correct it. Jenn continues to have pain inside her from other health issues.

One thing she has been greatly looking forward to is her son’s high school graduation, which is tomorrow. Her goal for the last few months has been to be able to be there. But today, she began to develop a fever, & the pain associated with her bladder has been getting worse over the weekend. She feels cursed.

Please pray that God will heal her of whatever is causing the fever, & ease her pain enough that she can go & enjoy her son’s graduation (he is the younger of her two children). While you’re at it, please pray that God will do a miracle & completely heal her.

  7. Heavenly Father,

You made the human body to function perfectly by Your magnificent design. But when sin entered into this world many human bodies became vulnerable to disease and other temporary and permanent disabilities. Karen O’s friend, Jenn, knows all about this. I am calling on You, Father God, to hear Your children praying over this lady. We are all in agreement for total healing in every way needed
Please bring her fever to normal and
bless her so she is able to see her son graduate. She is dependent upon Your goodness. Please take away all her affictions. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen
