Prayer Requests 4-25-14

Who would like to share a request or praise today?

It’s Friday, so please remember the folks at The Nest.

Psalm 85

¹Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.

I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12 Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

  1. Prayer request: My Father in Law’s health continues to deteriorate. Mobility is almost zero…hard decisions are ahead about what to do. Prayers for wisdom and peace for our family as we decide what to do. He may need to have in home assistance or move to a facility or to our home.

  2. Prayer for our eighteen year old, who is living with friends. She now has a kindle fire and facebook and no boundaries. It could be a very hard fall. We hope not but if it is needed to turn her around, I would pray it happens quickly.

  3. Aji suun sent me a message that AB, the friend she mentioned a couple days ago here as being sick, has died. I got to know AB and his family fairly well and visited them several times. Pray for his widow and family – the death of the head of a compound is always a hardship for those left behind.

  4. I am told that daughter is now in contact with her bio family, which could endanger her four younger siblings here. Prayer for protection for all. Thanks.

  5. How could she do that? Did nothing you talked to her about sink in her fool head? Can you send her to the East Coast? I would offer to have her come here but I am not having much luck with children right now.

The prayers weren’t bad. I am caught in the middle of coworkers marking their territory and my duties shifting day to day. I am told I am in charge of something and the next day someone else is in charge and I can spend half a day working on something and find out that oops I am not supposed to do that anymore. Admittedly I as a little sideways right now, but I have this fear that I am going to get stuck doing things that make my eyes glaze over. I really was honest and up front with the company when I was hired and just because I CAN do something doesn’t mean that I find joy in doing it.
Most of the problem is the phenomenal growth the company has experienced. Since I started we have had 20 new agents join. It is a good thing. I just tell myself to show up, do what is needed and just be happy to be there.

  6. It is good to have a job.

She is damaged, you know that, you talked with her. She is mad at me for making her feel guilty. My only rules for her were to respect others and leave the fifteen year old alone until he could grow up. I suspect her conscience bothers her. That is a good thing. She is a grown up now and does not live here. Not in my hands. But God has it.

  7. Sounds like Donna is ready for this trip. Why don’t you go first Donna and then you will inspire Kim to join you.
